The Rap God just made his weirdest cameo ever — and fans can’t stop talking.
“You JACKASS!” — The Callback That Broke the Internet
When the Happy Gilmore 2 trailer dropped, fans thought they were hallucinating.
Was that… Eminem? In a bucket hat? Channeling the spirit of a dead golf heckler?
Yes. That happened. And it gets crazier.
In the newly released Netflix sequel, Eminem plays the son of Donald — the original “jackass!” guy from the 1996 comedy classic. He shows up on the golf course mid-match, heckles Happy (Adam Sandler) with the legendary insult, and claims:
“My dad’s in the great Sizzler in the sky… but he always told me you were trash.”
Seconds later, he’s shoved into a lake.
And then? Alligators attack.
Yes, you read that right.
Why Is Eminem Even In This Movie?
Adam Sandler, who co-wrote the script with longtime collaborator Tim Herlihy, explained that they were brainstorming wild cameos when someone threw out:
“What if Em was the son of the original heckler?”
And it stuck.
Sandler says Eminem was not only down, but improvised most of his lines and filmed extra takes that were “too savage” to use. On The Dan Patrick Show, he said:
“There were like 40 other takes we couldn’t even put in the movie. He went off. He was hilarious.”
This Movie Is Stuffed With Wild Cameos
Eminem isn’t the only surprise. Happy Gilmore 2 is loaded with unannounced stars, including:
Ben Stiller (back as Hal, the evil orderly)
Julie Bowen
Post Malone
Guy Fieri
Bad Bunny
Kid Cudi
And even golf legends like Rory McIlroy and Jack Nicklaus
But it’s Eminem who completely steals the show.
One viral tweet nailed it:
“Eminem showed up, called Happy trash, and got fed to gators. Cinema is alive again.”
And the Movie Itself? Total Chaos
The film opens with a massive shock:
Happy’s wife, Virginia (played by Julie Bowen), dies within the first five minutes — after being hit in the head by one of his golf balls. The tone is darker, faster, and more unhinged than the original, and the humor swings between nostalgic and downright savage.
Fans are divided on the visuals — some complained the lighting and color grading make people look weirdly yellow, even saying Eminem “looked like he had jaundice.” But everyone agrees: his cameo is fire.
Where to Watch Right Now
No waiting. No theaters.
🟥 Watch Happy Gilmore 2 now on Netflix
Released July 25, 2025, the film is streaming exclusively on Netflix worldwide.
Note: The original Happy Gilmore is also available to stream — but only until July 31.
Final Word
Eminem didn’t just “drop in.”
He came, heckled, got bodied by a swamp beast, and left the internet gasping.
If this is how 2025 comedy is starting, we’re all in.
