f you’re looking for a gripping new show to binge-watch in April, Apple TV might just have the answer. The new comedy horror, Widow’s Bay, arrives on our screens at the end of the month, and it sounds like unmissable TV.

The ominous new teaser, which fans have hailed as “perfect” and “gold”, is a retro-style clip showing a man welcoming viewers to Widow’s Bay.

“There’s so much to see,” he says. “Come on, I’ll show you around,” he adds, before walking off into the distance while upbeat music plays in the background. The scene lasts for almost a minute, showing the man walking beside a lake before disappearing behind some trees.

While the clip doesn’t give much away, it sets a rather unsettling tone and suggests that something isn’t quite right in the titular town. Watch it below.

WATCH: The teaser for Widow’s Bay

Tipped to blend “genuine horror with character-driven comedy,” the series is set to be a must-watch this April. Not only is the show created and executive produced by Katie Dippold, who was a writer and story editor on Emmy and Golden Globe-winning comedy, Parks and Recreation, but it’s also directed and executive produced by Emmy Award winner Hiro Murai (The Bear, Barry).

What is Widow’s Bay about?

The ten-part series is set in Widow’s Bay, a quaint island town 40 miles off the coast of New England where there’s no Wi-Fi, spotty cellular reception and its locals are convinced that their island is cursed.
