The bodies of three fishermen have been recovered after the trio went missing off South Australia’s Limestone Coast.
The alarm was raised about 2.30pm yesterday when the three men from NSW failed to return to shore after going fishing off the waters at Beachport, about 300 kilometres south-east of Adelaide.
The men were identified as 65-year-old Johnny McKenzie, 67-year-old Russell Fisher, and 74-year-old Les Demamiel.

The bodies of all three men had been recovered, police confirmed. There were lifejackets on the boat, but none of the men were wearing them.
“Three deaths is just unthinkable, unimaginable,” Superintendent Trent Cox said.
It has been reported that locals had tried to warn the men of the dangerous surf conditions before they set off.
“It was over three metre swell for a start, which is not good,” Chris Edmunds said.

“We never go out over three [metres].
“We sometimes don’t go out over 2.8 [metres], depending on the wind.”
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
