A man and woman have been charged over an alleged domestic violence murder in regional NSW.
The victim was found dead in Goulburn in the state’s Southern Tablelands on January 3, but police suspect she died four days earlier. On Thursday police charged a female ex-partner of the deceased and an alleged male accomplice.
Neither the man or woman applied for bail in court on Friday.
Anne-Marie Streek, 40, and Stephen Henry Evans, 44, each face one charge of domestic violence-related murder, and neither have entered pleas. Their cases were adjourned to the Goulburn Local Court in mid-April.

Speaking to media on Friday, homicide squad Detective Superintendent Joe Doueihi said police suspected Ms Streek had formerly been in a years-long relationship with the 48-year-old victim and previously lived at the home where she was found dead.
After the 48-year-old failed to meet an associate, police were alerted on January 3 and forced their way into the house on Joshua St.
The woman was found dead with multiple stab wounds. Police believe she died on December 30, Superintendent Doueihi said.
Police searched an adjacent house on Joshua St on Thursday morning, making the two arrests.
“In regard to the motivation behind this, that’s currently still under investigation, and not clear at this stage,” Superintendent Doueihi said.
“I can indicate that the (alleged) female offender was involved in a relationship with the victim for a number of years and both of them resided in that location.”
“That relationship severed in May last year. And that (alleged) female offender commenced a relationship with the (alleged) male offender who lives next door. And both the female and male resided in the next-door premises.”
Police want information on a light blue Toyota Camry that towed a small white boat to Lake Burrinjuck near Yass on December 31, staying until January 3.
Superintendent Doueihi said homicide squad investigators were “quite confident” from the outset that the female former partner had been involved in the death.
Ms Streek had minor dealings with the police previously, though Mr Evans “has a significant history for some domestic violence matters and traffic matters and other matters”, the Superintendent said.
“Domestic violence is not limited to male-female relationships as we know in this instance,” he said.
“We don’t tolerate any form of domestic violence regardless of who the victims are. So my advice is if you are involved in a domestic violence relationship, get out of it. Seek help.
“There are plenty of police resources and government resources out there to seek assistance. Do not remain and be a victim of a domestic violence relationship.”
