A 30-year-old mom has been arrested after her ex-boyfriend and his parents were found dead inside and outside a family home in a shocking triple murder.

Cops said the killings were targeted, and the suspect was later caught after allegedly fleeing across state lines.

The bodies were discovered at a home in Crete Township, a suburban community in Illinois, about 40 minutes outside of Chicago, early on Monday morning.

Jacob Lambert, 32, was killed alongside his parents, Stacy Forde, 54, and Patrick Forde, 55.

Will County Sheriff deputies went to the house at around 2am after getting a call for a welfare check.

When they arrived, they found all three dead and said a person of interest had already left the scene.

Investigators said Strouble was later tracked down in St John, Indiana, just over the border from Illinois, Daily Mail reported.

She is expected to be extradited to Illinois.

Authorities said she will face nine counts of first-degree murder.

Illinois prosecutors can file multiple murder counts for each victim under different legal theories, meaning the three deaths can be charged as nine separate counts.

Police said the preliminary investigation showed the attack was targeted

The sheriff’s office said Strouble gave incriminating statements during detective interviews after the homicides.

Investigators also recovered a firearm and said it matched the weapon used in the killings.

Lambert was found dead in the driveway of the home.

His parents were found dead on the first floor near the front door, police said.

Authorities said Lambert and Strouble had an on-and-off relationship and shared children.

In a statement, the sheriff’s office said, “Tragic events like this can be avoided for those wishing to seek help and assistance regarding domestic violence.”

Stacy’s employer, Roeda, a sign company, paid tribute to her online and said she had worked as the company’s director of finance for almost 22 years.

“She was more than a co-worker to many of us; she was like family to the Roedas and many of our colleagues,” the company wrote.

“She showed up to many family event, celebrations, and parties. She enjoyed life and loved a great concert.”

Roeda said Stacy loved her family, valued religion and left an everlasting impact on the business.

Family member Emily Conner shared another tribute online, writing, Our hearts are incredibly heavy, and there truly aren’t words for a loss like this.

“Jake had just celebrated one year of sobriety something we were so proud of and that meant so much,” she added.

“Ella and Rhett are going to miss their Dad, Papa and Grandma more than words can express.”

Property records show the couple bough the home in 2020 for $295,900.

The property is now valued at about $414,000 according to Zillow.

Police said all three victims lived at the home.

Neighbors said they were left stunned by the violence.

Shayla Dross told local ABC affiliate WLS-TV that officers were knocking on doors all day Monday.

Jim Brown said he had seen all three victims at the home the day before they were killed.

“Now, they are gone, and I’m not an emotional person. But something like that hits home,” he said.

Neighbors also said the family’s dog survived the attack and refused to leave the house when relatives arrived.

People close to the family told WLS-TV that the couple’s grandchildren also lived at the property, but were not there when the killings happened.

Authorities have not yet released the victims’ causes of death.
