The future of Australia’s most famous radio duo is in serious doubt with industry insiders claiming Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson may never reunite on air.
Speaking on Sunrise on Tuesday, showbiz editor Peter Ford claimed sources close to the situation believe the pair “are not getting back together ever”.
Henderson is also believed to be seeking legal advice about her options.
The bombshell claims come as Henderson continues her absence from the KIIS FM radio show, following the explosive on-air clash between the hosts on February 20 that left her in tears.
This morning on-air, Sandilands confirmed he had signed a statement that Henderson’s team intends to release, though it remains unclear when it will be made public.
“I’m hearing Jackie ‘O’ feels she has to take a stand here and she has to do it to show that you do not have to be demeaned and belittled in your workplace, as she was on that particular day when Kyle gave her that dressing down,” Ford told Sunrise.

Friday’s tense episode, which saw the co-hosts embroiled in a fiery argument, ended with Henderson telling Sandilands to “get somebody else” after what she described as a “total attack”.
Sandilands had first criticised Henderson after she read through Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s astrology chart in response to news of his arrest.
He initially took issue with her “fixation” on astrology before the discussion turned personal. During his tirade, Henderson attempted to defend herself, saying his comments were “unfair”.
Ford suggested Henderson wants to set an example for her daughter, Kitty, showing that workplace mistreatment doesn’t have to be tolerated.
Notably, Sandilands is Kitty’s godfather, adding a personal dimension to the professional crisis.
Just an hour before Ford’s comments, Sandilands attempted to downplay the situation on-air.
“The only thing I noticed (from the statement) is that Jackie will be returning in the future,” Sandilands said.
“So that’s a good sign … so the intention is to come back which is fabulous.”

The stand-off places a reported $200 million investment by the Australian Radio Network (ARN) at risk. The pair signed a 10-year contract and are believed to still be in the early stages of the deal.
“Interestingly, if Jackie ‘O’ does not return to the show Kyle still has a job,” Ford added.
“He’s still contracted to the network, his contract is not reliant on her being there.”
Ford noted the show’s recent struggles, including losing seven out of eight surveys to Ben Fordham in Sydney last year and tanking in Melbourne.
The program also faces on-going pressure from lobby group Mad Witches, which targets advertisers.
“Very soon you’ll have advertisers saying, we want make good ads because we didn’t sign up for this show,” Ford warned.
“An on-going saga, a long way from over.”
