Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson are reportedly solely focused on their daughters, ahead of their exit from Royal Lodge.

The former couple, who have lived together at the sprawling Windsor house since 2008, are leaving the property amid ongoing scrutiny over their links to Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew is reportedly moving to the Sandringham Estate. Meanwhile, Sarah is said to be looking for her own home away from Andrew.

But now, a royal biographer has spoken about a “deal” that could be in place between Sarah and Andrew when it comes to their daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie.

It’s been a dramatic few months for Andrew and Sarah, who divorced in 1996. Andrew’s association with late convicted sex offender Epstein led to the loss of his royal titles and honours. As a result, Sarah also lost her Duchess of York title.

However, amid all the drama happening at the moment, biographer Andrew Lownie has claimed that Andrew and Sarah’s focus will always be on their daughters Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35.

The deal is parents will fall on their swords as long as the daughters are taken care of.

“Everything now is about the daughters,” Andrew told Marie Claire.

He went on to claim that Beatrice and Eugenie “have been passed the baton” in terms of carrying on “their royal status”.

The siblings occasionally carry out royal engagements on behalf of King Charles, despite them not being senior working royals. But Andrew claims that Charles wants to keep his nieces close.

Talking about the alleged “deal”, he explained: “The deal is parents will fall on their swords as long as the daughters are taken care of.”

Sarah Ferguson backlash

Sarah has faced scrutiny over her ties to Epstein too. A 2011 email in which she called Epstein a “supreme friend” resurfaced last September, prompting several charities to sever ties with her.

Her spokesperson later said the comment was sent under duress. “Like many people, she was taken in by his lies,” they claimed.

Meanwhile, Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir reignited public outrage in October.

In the memoir, Ms Giuffre restated her allegations against Andrew. She alleged she was made to sleep with the royal on three occasions when she was 17 after being trafficked by Epstein.

Andrew has always vehemently denied the allegations.

Other resurfaced emails last year appeared to show Andrew in contact with Epstein in early 2011. These emails contradict his claims that he cut contact with Epstein in December 2010.

Amid the scrutiny, Andrew has withdrawn from public life and no longer holds his royal titles.
