FEARS grow for missing grandfather Chris Baghsarian, who was allegedly taken hostage from his home in Sydney.
The 85-year-old man vanished from his home on February 13 in what police say was a bungled kidnapping as a result of mistaken identity.

He was allegedly snatched from his home and forced into a dark-coloured SUV in the early hours of the morning.
Police say he was then taken to a property in Dural and beaten before being forced to film a horrific hostage video.
The tape was allegedly directed by a local gangland figure and has since been circulated through New South Wales‘ underworld.
On Sunday, a police helicopter was seen hovering over a property in the suburb of Glenorie, near where a hostage video of the grandfather was believed to have been taken.
The chopper left the area around 7pm; however, officers remained on watch late into the night.
Investigators today confirmed they believe a torched car found in the city’s west earlier in the week was linked to the botched kidnapping.
The 2022 model Toyota Corolla was found burnt out in Westmead on Monday night.
Investigators believe the same car was allegedly stolen from the neighbouring state before Baghsarian disappeared and had been driven from the abandoned property in Dural.
Photos from inside the now deserted home were released by cops, who are still searching for the elderly grandfather.
Police say the car, bearing a Victorian registration, had been torched and abandoned.

The vehicle has since been “linked to the crime scene at an address in Dural which is determined to be linked to the kidnapping,” New South Wales police said in a statement.
Police have appealed to the public, urging anyone with information about the kidnapping or the identity of the kidnappers to come forward.
Baghsarian has been missing for more than a week, as cops say their hope to find him alive “is fading” as the grandfather relies on daily medication.
Strike Force Chobat has been set up in a focused bid to find the grandfather following “distressing” videos of him being sent to police.
His distraught family have pleaded for his return.
Investigators have urged anyone who may have seen or heard anything in relation to the kidnapping or who may have witnessed any sort of suspicious activity in the Dural area to contact CrimeStoppers.

Horror footage shows the moment the granddad was kidnapped in the early hours of the morning
Police say he was allegedly gagged and beaten up during the bungled and terrifying gang extortion plot.
Baghsarian had been alone in his North Ryde home when his captors descended onto his property.
Local cops suspect the kidnappers abducted the wrong man during the alleged attack.
They believe the suspects were supposed to take another man who had links to the criminal underworld – but accidentally took the grandfather instead.
Detective Acting Superintendent Andrew Marks said: “They took Mr Baghsarian whilst he was at home, in his bedroom of his family home, and they took him and bundled him into a car and took him away to a location that we do not know.
“Police consider that Mr Baghsarian was not the intended target … You have the wrong person.”
Horror footage has since shown Chris with his hands tied while gagged and lying on the floor.
There appears to be blood on the carpet under the kidnapped elderly man.
The unnerving footage was sent to a Sydney underworld figure after kidnappers incorrectly assumed Chris was the original target.

Det Supt Marks added: “If there’s a member of the kidnapping crew that has any common decency, to tell us where he is, you tell us where he is, we’ll do the rest.
Three people are believed to be involved in the kidnapping.
