Officers are searching for a group after they allegedly smashed the windows of a home in Sydney’s north-west and set fire to a stolen ute.
At about 2am today, emergency crews were called to a property on Bocks Road in Oakville after receiving reports that a group had driven a ute onto a property before allegedly smashing multiple windows.
They allegedly set the ute alight shortly after.

When police arrived, the group fled on foot, and another got inside a second vehicle before driving away.
Police gave chase, and the vehicle was stopped on Fontana Drive at The Gables before the driver ran away again.
Following a search, a 17-year-old boy was arrested shortly after and taken to Windsor Police Station.
The ute was extinguished, and further investigations found that it had reportedly been stolen last month.
The occupants of the home, a man and woman in their 50s, were uninjured following the incident, and an investigation is now underway.
