Meghan Markle’s friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin is pulling back the curtain on her dewy glam at Paris Fashion Week.

On Monday, Oct. 6, Martin posted a video to Instagram breaking down the beauty products he used on the Duchess of Sussex for her Paris Fashion Week debut at the Balenciaga Womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 show on Saturday, Oct. 4, and revealed the trick that made her glam appear “even more juicy and glowy.”

“I just wanted to pop on and say thank you so much for all the love and support. It’s been so overwhelming, to be honest, like you guys really took to this makeup, so thank you from the bottom of my heart,” the makeup pro began the video, which featured a picture of Meghan, 44, from Saturday in Paris at the Balenciaga Womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 show.

“I did my usual skin prep with her, which was a lot of Tatcha, and I’m not saying that because I’m with the brand, but it’s a skincare ritual that has been in my kit and I used on all my clients for years,” said Martin, who is the Global Director of Artistry and Education at Tatcha.

“The switch up was that I actually mixed the Tatcha Longevity Serum in with the foundation, and I think that added another layer of radiance to her makeup, which made her look even more juicy and glowy,” he said of the secret to her fresh face.

“I use foundation a lot with my hands, so when I apply it, I’m applying it like a massage, like I do with my skincare. I’ll go in with a brush to add more coverage, and then I use a sponge to blend it out, but I never apply foundation with a sponge and I never apply foundation directly to the brush, to the face,” he explained.

Martin added that Meghan “only had powder in the T-zone of her face” from Paris Berlin to eliminate shine, plus Tom Ford Contour Cream on her cheek, topped with Tatcha Serum Stick.

“We just wanted to keep everything light, fresh and radiant. She just flew in, and your skin gets dehydrated from the plane, so I just wanted to bring some hydration back into her skin and just bring some life to it,” he said of the vision.

Martin revealed that he had “several” Tom Ford lipsticks ready and Meghan chose Iconic Nude. They completed the look with Makeup Forever lip liner “and that was pretty much it,” he said.

Meghan’s friend added that he used brown eyeshadow with a halo effect and mascara, mentioning that he introduced her to a MAC mascara “which she loves,” and shouted out her “beautiful, structured brows.”

“When you come from fashion like I do, it’s not about the makeup, it’s about just looking beautiful, radiant, polished,” Martin said about his own background, and hinted at a wish for a future makeup moment with Meghan.

“I would love to get her in a lip one day. Meghan, if you’re watching this, let’s do a lip, I’d love to see you in a lip,” he quipped.

The Duchess of Sussex and Martin have been close friends for years and he was the artist behind her bridal makeup when she married Prince Harry in Windsor in May 2018.

On Sunday, Oct. 5, Martin made a cameo in the Instagram video that Meghan posted recapping her weekend in Paris, and was spotted at work on her makeup in a luxe suite.

“About last night. Thank you @pppiccioli and @balenciaga,” the Duchess of Sussex captioned the highlight reel of her whirlwind trip. “I’ve missed you 🇫🇷 – thanks for the love ❤️”
