Meghan Markle has been humiliated by a festive display just up the road from her mansion in Los Angeles after it dubbed her a “holiday hypocrite” and “villain of the year”.
The Duchess of Sussex is among a number of celebrities named in the provocative exhibit, which was unveiled in the window of fashion retailer Kitson, between Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, this month.
Alongside other “villains” including California governor Gavin Newsom, George Clooney and Katy Perry, the display pokes fun at Meghan by surrounding a photo of her with news headlines from the last 12 months.
They include accusations that the mum-of-two “won’t let go of her royal status”, that she and husband Prince Harry are “disliked by Americans”.
The department store has run the controversial display since 2020 and previously featured the Sussexes in its clothing line, asking customers to choose between ‘Team Meghan and Harry’ or ‘Team William and Kate’ after so-called Megxit in 2020.
