The jet-setting is over, and it’s time to return to MAFS beloved brick warehouse for the penultimate Dinner Party.

Homestays have had a huge impact on everyone, so there’s a lot to unpack – from success stories to an official break-up.

Being home in Adelaide, where she’s a certified Big Deal, has caused Alissa to spiral and after almost an entire season of being chill with everything thrown his way, David’s over it.

He’s “hit his limit” and asks for space – a change in tune that both rattles and relieves Alissa.

David asks Alissa for space

Hard to have space when they’ll be seated next to each other around the nation’s most dramatic table, but let’s see how we go.

Cocktail Hour

Rachel and Steven are first to arrive and the experts are amazed to watch them sit and talk about their own relationship, instead of everyone else’s.

The bar is in hell, but I’m happy they’ve cleared it.

The catch-ups begin, as Chris fills everyone in on his and Sam’s break-up, and Alissa promises to delve into her relationship problems over dinner.

Bec has nothing but positive things to say about her trip to Adelaide with Danny and says he’s already locked in to make the move.

How lovely … except for the fact, Danny is only half a metre from her telling the lads a very different story.

“I felt a bit uncomfortable in her house … I’m not just going to move in with her and put my feet up rent-free,” he says.

Bec and Danny express very different views on their Homestays Week

Sam arrives and tells Alissa a very different story about the break-up than Chris soooo there’s only one thing to do – unpack it over dinner, of course.

Dinner Party

For a couple of minutes, everyone pretends to care about their chicken and salad.

Finally, Sam tells Chris he wants to unpack everything, and Chris is thrilled.

“Tonight is going to be shit,” he reacts.

That’s the spirit!

Sam tells the group why he decided to break up with Chris

They recount it all, from their painfully awkward car ride south to Chris ghosting Sam to go to the gym, but Chris says he actually just wanted to give Sam a sleep in.

The entire table reacts with a passionate “yeeeeees” to the idea of more sleep, which is the most relatable moment of the season.

Stella wonders if Sam is putting a lot of blame on Chris, but before she can fully explain, Bec interrupts to plant her flag in Team Sam.

After going round and round a dozen times, the table is ready to move on – so they throw a few compliments their way and turn attention to Bec and Danny.

“We had such a good Homestays, didn’t we?” Bec begins.

He isn’t as positive, explaining they had an argument – prompting another about whether it was actually a fight or a “ding dong”.

Danny admits he didn’t feel super comfortable in Bec’s house, which is news to her, and he’s now thinking a lot about the logistics of moving.

Rachel suggests he needs to see how he would fit into her existing home, which would be a fine concern … but that’s not what he means.

“From my point of view, it makes you feel like a bit of a bitch moving in with a woman,” he says.

Rachel veryyyyy quickly distances herself from that wild take, which I quickly learn is not that wild to most of this group.

Suddenly, all the men are proudly declaring themselves alphas who are too fragile to move into a woman’s house.

The group are stunned by Danny’s reason against moving in with Bec

From one Adelaide scandal to another, Alissa admits she spent their entire Homestay spiralling.

She’s now completely changed her mind about moving to Sydney, so if their relationship is going to work, David will have to pack up his life and move in with her.

At a brand new house, of course, because apparently that’s the rule of masculinity!

Alissa is finding problems everywhere and David’s over it.

He’s been a steady head all season, is ready to move and has the tick of approval of her mum and best friends.

“What other green checks do you need ticked off?” he says.

Alissa reveals why she spiralled during Homestays

Stella and Filip and Rachel and Steven bring us some much-needed positivity, with recaps of Filip falling in love with the Shire and Rachel’s newfound fishing skills.

Two couples are left grinning after a successful Homestays

But as everyone claps for Rachel and Steve-o being adorable, things are awkward between Bec and Danny.

His “bitch” comment has blindsided her, but Danny’s adamant he’d been honest about his feelings before bringing it to the group.

The experts clock that Bec’s starting to second-guess his level of commitment, “and rightly so”.

From an unrequited “I love you”, to worrying about his edit, to now revealing he won’t move into her house … well, it’s all adding up to something not great.

Bec questions Danny over his divisive comment

Danny insists there can be compromise, like him paying to renovate her house or taking on her (as previously mentioned, tiny!) mortgage.

“Just moving in how it is would make me feel demasculated,” he doubles down, with a word that’s not actually a word.
MAFS 2026 Episode 32Bec has a lot more to think about then just Danny’s mispronunciation of ‘demasculated’. (Nine)
We know how much Danny loves talking about feelings at the Commitment Ceremonies, so I’m sure he’s thrilled to hear what the experts have to say about his stance on masculinity.

The last Commitment Ceremony of the season will have it all – tears, ultimatums and John Aiken calling out Scott for being “fake the whole experiment”.

We’ll save you a seat on the couch on Sunday!
