Kim Kardashian is back in the spotlight with new SKIMS launches, a new show, and now a new in-depth interview where she opened up about her complicated co-parenting situation.

The reality star was recently a guest on the famous online podcast, Call Her Daddy, where she sat down for a tell-all interview with the host, Alex Cooper, who did not hold back with her questions. At several points in their conversation, the host got Kim to open up about her current co-parenting situation with ex-husband Kanye West, who has been on a notorious tear of scandals and offensive controversies. She addressed how long it’s been since their four children have seen their father, and her response has the internet buzzing. Read more about what she had to say below.

Kim Kardashian Opens Up About The End Of Her & Kanye West’s Marriage

Kim and Kanye were one of the most famous and notorious modern celebrity couples for a long while until they filed for divorce in 2021 after eight years of marriage. Although the disgraced rapper began doing some controversial things in his career before and during their marriage, things got more intense following their split, as he not only bashed her in statements on social media but also wrote and sold extremely offensive songs and merchandise that have resulted in him losing numerous fans and brand deals.

Alex got the American Horror Story actress to open up a bit about when their marriage began to fall apart behind closed doors, and what caused her to finally draw the line and end their relationship following years of public stints and controversy, noting Kanye was not “willing to make changes.”

“People can say that there were, like, signs and maybe I wasn’t paying attention to them,” she said during the interview. “And I think when someone has, like, their first, like, mental break, you know, you wanna be super supportive and you wanna, like, help figure that out and you wanna really get into that with them and be there for them.”

Despite her attempts to patch up her relationship and find help for the Grammy winner, Kim admitted that he was stuck in his ways, which pushed her to end things finally.

“It makes it really hard to continue on in a relationship that can be toxic,” she added. “When you have kids, it’s definitely harder to leave than it is to stay. And it changes everyone’s life forever.”

Kim Reveals Her Kids Haven’t Heard From Kanye ‘In A Couple Months’

As a result of his erratic and worrisome behavior, more questions have been raised about the future of his and Kim’s four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, who range in ages from 12 to 5. Inside reports began coming out that, due to the musician being off his bipolar medications, the mom-of-four was concerned for their children and “considering” filing for sole custody. However, on the recent podcast episode, she revealed they’re still attempting to co-parent.

After the podcast host asked the SKIMS founder when the last time her children saw their father, she responded, “It’s probably been a couple of months since we’ve heard from him.”

She also hinted that “whenever he calls” about his children, Kanye is typically allowed a visit, although it seems like that hasn’t happened for a while.

“They always knew that he had a big life traveling before and was always on tour and all of that,” she added. “And that he lives in different countries all the time and loves to live all over the place. So, you know, we manage it really well.”

Despite the lack of consistency she and Kanye have with their co-parenting, Kim took pride in sharing that she does just about everything for her children, and that even though their dad may not be that involved right now, they’re doing great in her house.

“They love their life and their routine and their schedule,” she said. “And I think just [my] job as their mom is just to make sure that they stick to their routine and they’re healthy and happy and, you know, look, it’s not easy no matter what, co-parenting with anyone.”
