This season of Married At First Sight has unfolded with very little restraint. A runaway bride announcing her pregnancy mid-experiment, dinner parties that have tipped from tense into outright hostile, and the shock loss of beloved expert Mel Schilling have made for a viewing experience that feels, at times, genuinely disorientating.

Now, the end is in sight. With the final Dinner Party and Final Vows approaching, the 2026 season is entering its closing stretch, one that promises a final surge of chaos.

There is, however, a caveat. In a final move to extend the tension, the schedule has shifted. Rather than its usual consecutive-night rollout, the final 2 episodes have been pushed to next week.

The couples still standing are Stella and Filip, Bec and Danny, Gia and Scott, Rachel and Steven, and Alissa and David, though “standing” may be generous. Rings have already been yanked off by both Alissa and David, while Gia has stormed down Crown Street in Surry Hills declaring she’s done.

Rigid gender roles have also emerged as a recurring undercurrent this season, with both men and women leaning into familiar archetypes. Still, what would MAFS be without positioning itself as a mirror to modern relationships, however distorted that reflection may be. Will Danny move into Bec’s home? Unlikely. Will Scott’s pink neck pillow win Gia over? Even less so.

Is MAFS On Tonight?

No, sadly the only episode of MAFS this week aired on Monday, March 30. Channel 9 has confirmed the next episode of MAFS (which will be the season’s final dinner party), will air on Monday, April 6 at 7:30pm AEST on 9Now and the Channel 9 Network, followed by MAFS: After The Dinner Party on Stan.

After that, the reunion phase is expected to follow, with a Reunion Dinner Party and final Commitment Ceremony likely airing on April 13 and 14.

Stan has confirmed the finale rollout will continue with MAFS: After The Reunion premiering Monday, April 13, before MAFS: After The Experiment arrives on Monday, April 20 from 2pm, also exclusively on Stan.

When Is MAFS Final Dinner Party 2026?

The Final Dinner Party will air on Monday, April 6 at 7:30pm AEST. Every remaining couple appears in the teaser, so it’s safe to expect tensions to escalate, particularly between Alissa and David, as well as Gia and Scott.

In the latest episode, Scott labelled Gia’s behaviour during the alternative tasks challenge “disgusting” before becoming visibly emotional, saying he felt used for his money and that the past three months had been a waste. Not exactly the makings of a calm final dinner.

Why Was MAFS Not On Last Night?

MAFS sadly didn’t air on Wednesday, April 1, likely a strategic move by Channel Nine to stretch the drama just a little further. More practically, it also allows the final dinner party and Final Vows to roll out across consecutive nights.

When Are MAFS Final Vows 2026?

MAFS Final Vows will air on Tuesday, April 7 at 7:30pm AEST. Based on the teasers, all remaining couples make it to the end, with a few heartbreaks almost guaranteed.
