A spear fisherman has been rescued from the side of a cliff on Sydney’s northern beaches.

Paramedics were called to Blue Fish Point at Manly at 9am this morning.

The man in his 20s was found down on the rocks with an ankle injury.

The Toll Rescue helicopter flew to the scene and winched the fisherman to safety.

The man was flown to hospital for treatment.

Two friends who were with the spear fisherman at the time made their own way out of the area.

Blue Fish Point is located on Manly’s North Head.
