Australian TV star Grant Denyer says he is completely healthy and has had no interruption to his filming commitments after being sent to hospital following a crash in the Bathurst 6 Hour on Saturday.
Almost four hours into the race, Denyer’s Class A2 Chevrolet Camaro made contact with Barram’s Class C Volkswagen Sirocco trying to pass at Griffins Bend.
The nudge sent Barram into the side of Matt Kiss’s stationary Class E Mazda, which was sitting helpless on the outside of the corner, before the Scirocco’s front-end clattered into the wall.
Kiss avoided serious injury but Denyer and Barram were both sent to hospital for “compulsory checks”.
Barram was taken to Orange Hospital with a suspected ankle injury, while Denyer was transported to Bathurst Hospital with what looked like a possible shoulder concern at the time.

In a social media post with his daughter on Sunday night, Denyer assured his followers he escaped unharmed.
“I’m totally fine. Was nice to be leading the race, not so nice when a car hit me into the wall,” Denyer said.
“But I’m happy, healthy and already back at work filming Deal or No Deal
“Made my wife brekky in bed today for Easter and spoilt her like she deserves. Then back to Melbourne this arvo and shocked by the commotion.
“I absolutely adore my family. Love my job. And enjoy racing.
“It’s a good day.. not a bad one like has been reported, I am sorry.”
He also clarified that his trip to hospital was precautionary only.
“I was only in hospital for an hour and that was only just for compulsary checks as part of the regulations,” he said.
“It was very minor, it was just a small scrape, someone just tagged my car trying to avoid another parked car and that just spat us both into the wall.
“Everything’s A-OK, I’m totally fine. Are we in hospital and nearly dying? No deal!”
Denyer has never been a full-time driver in the Supercars Championship, choosing a career in TV instead, but has competed at various levels in different capacities since as early as 2001.
He partnered Alex Davison to finish ninth at the 2006 Bathurst 1000, and has competed at all but six of the past 20 Bathurst 6 Hour events.
