A BODY has been found amid the hunt for a missing American Airlines flight attendant.
The grisly discovery was made in a rural area south of Medellín, Colombia, days after Eric Fernando Gutierrez Molina mysteriously disappeared.

Medellín Mayor Federico Gutiérrez announced the “sad news” in a post on X.
He wrote: “Since last Sunday, we have been searching for Eric Gutiérrez, a US citizen who is missing.
“Unfortunately, a lifeless body has just been found between the municipality of Jericó and Puente Iglesias. There is a very high probability that it is this person.”
The body, believed to be Molina’s, was transported to Medellín for identification and autopsy, according to the New York Post.

No suspects have been arrested in the discovery of the body and no cause of death has been revealed.
The 32-year-old crew member based in Dallas–Fort Worth, vanished while on an overnight stop in Medellín, according to officials.
Friends and investigators say that the flight attendant went out with coworkers in Medellín’s El Poblado nightlife district on Saturday.
Molina and his co-workers left the club with two men and didn’t report back to the airport for his return flight to Miami, Florida, the next day.
Molina’s coworker was later found disoriented and in need of medical attention, and reported not remembering portions of the night.
“It was his female coworker, they both went out,” Sharom Gil, Gutiérrez Molina’s best friend, told CBS News.
“We don’t want to disclose anything that happened to her, but she was also a victim of whatever Fernando is going through right now.
“She was disoriented, but she was able to make it back to the layover hotel.”
Molina was last seen in Medellín’s La América neighborhood, an area not known for tourist activities, according to officials.
He sent a message Sunday morning sharing his location at an Airbnb in the El Poblado neighborhood, about 12 miles from Medellín’s José María Córdova International Airport.
Molina’s family and friends fear that he could have been drugged, possibly with scopolamine, also known as “devil’s breath.”
The substance is known to cause confusion, memory loss, impaired judgement and loss of consciousness.
Mayor Gutiérrez said he delivered the “painful news” to Molina’s father, who had travelled to Colombia after his son was reported missing.

“We express our solidarity to his family and friends,” the mayor wrote.
Authorities are expected to hold a press conference on Sunday to reveal more details about the case.
