This is it – the final night of the 2026 MAFS experiment.
What are you going to do with all your free time?!
It’s only been 24 hours since the Dinner Party, but we’ve already lost a couple of people along the way.
Juliette for starters, as well as Danny, who it turns out was not lying about not coming back to film the grand finale.

John Aiken’s disappointed before we’ve ever got anyone on the couch!
Perhaps a lovely, positive look back at the group’s wedding days can turn that around?
It feels like a million years since Gia fought with her best friend Will and Alissa and David’s kiss went on way, way too long, but it’s nice to remember where it all began!
The vibes are so high even Joel’s terrible floors/flaws joke in his vows is a hit.
There’s a lot to celebrate for those who left the experiment early on: Mel’s finally learned to laugh at Luke’s wedding day ring faux pas, and Chris has become a dad!
OK, that’s enough wholesomeness for now. It’s couch time!
Rachel and Steven
The experts are very confused about what’s happened between them, as they explain Steven wasn’t able to make the relationship a priority.
To be fair, it’s clear both Rachel and Steven are also confused!
“We don’t really want it to end,” Steven says.
Mel Schilling jumps on that – surely it’s a simple question, does he want to be with her or not?
But Steven talks in circles, prompting a disapproving John to step in.
Not a face-off I saw coming tbh. (Nine)
“You need some home truths, Steve-o,” he says, calling Steven’s excuses a cop-out.
He says he wants their relationship to work, but John doesn’t believe him.
“You’re telling her all the things that will give her hope and then doing nothing about it,” he says.
Now can he try answering the question again? “A big part of me does, yes,” Steven says.
Hmmmm, how about the whole part of him?
“I’m just gonna put a bullet in it and just say no,” he replies.
Bit rough, Steve-o! (Nine)
It brings back all of Rachel’s insecurities about being silly and not enough, which John says is absolutely not the case.
It’s not the ending anyone wanted for them, and they’re just as devastated as they head back to the group.

Gia and Scott
The experts get a crash course on what went wrong at the end of the experiment.
Their highlight reel is in fact a lowlight reel, showing Scott commentating Gia’s love of drama and pattern of leaving over footage of those exact things.
Bombastic side eye. (Nine)
Gia does not love having her behaviour reflected back to her.
“I have a lot of work to do on myself, because I don’t want to do that again,” she cries.
She apologises to Scott, and they both express gratitude for having gone through the journey together.
Stephanie and Tyson
Hey, at least watching the group react to footage of Tyson is entertaining!
Such range! Such relatability! (Nine)
John asks if Tyson really wants a partner who just rolls over and does whatever he says, and of course he does.
In fact, he is confident enough to declare that is actually what women also want!
Grayson, the hero we definitely did know we needed, jumps in to say there’s a difference between traditional values and misogyny.
“All you did was cut her down and you’re doing it right now,” he says.
Alessandra tries to get a word in, but Tyson keeps interrupting, bringing out the wrath of Mel next to her.
“Tyson, this is unacceptable!” she says.
Pop off Queen Mel! (Nine)
Of course, he doesn’t try to speak over John – who points that out.
Mel points out how disrespectful he’s been to women while on the couch and quickly wraps things up before he can get another word in.
Women behaving badly
Anyone who has watched a second of this season knows the most impactful relationships have been those between the women – and not for good reasons!
So, the next block of footage is just them behaving badly.
Gia and Bec’s back-and-forths, the mean girl posse of the second Dinner Party, Bec trying to steal Alissa’s queen of Adelaide crown, Juliette’s C-bomb … it’s a lot.
And they know it. (Nine)
Alissa feels sick reliving how she was treated.
She sobs remembering how she struggled to get out of bed and shook under the table as she copped it.
Gia knows Alissa is unlikely to accept her apology, but she offers one anyway.
Mel gives them a big, deserved lecture about the lack of respect and sisterhood.
“In a decade of doing this experiment, I’ve never seen so much animosity within the female group,” she says.
“I’d really like you to have a long, hard look at yourselves.”
Bec … and no Danny
A solo Bec is in for a big wake-up call.
The clips of her relationship give a biiiig insight into whether Danny was into her or not. And the answer is, uh, or not.
In an unseen clip, a producer asks if he can see himself falling in love with her.
“I don’t want to tie myself into a loophole without my lawyer present,” he replies.
In another moment, after watching Bec in the Final Test, he says, “I would never fall in love with her on a month of Sundays, f— that”.
Meanwhile, Bec says they’re “stronger than ever” a dozen different times.
Just as we think it’s over, another clip flashes up on screen – from Danny’s final interview, recorded before Final Vows.
“The future without Bec would be bright … after this there will be women queuing up for me,” he says, joking he won’t be able to walk down the street without them throwing themselves at him.
It’s so awful even Gia looks pained for Bec.
A finale miracle! (Nine)
She’s furious about being led on and thinks it is “icky” of him to have strung her along, knowing she was in love with him.
She now recognises she was in a toxic situation and refused to see the truth – and the comment Gia alleged he made about her being his type are is perfect example.
Now, she believes he did say it.
Reeeally tough watch. (Nine)
She has a lot of regrets, including her treatment of Alissa, of Steph just the night before, and her often reactive behaviour.
But she’s proud of herself for always showing up and facing it – unlike her ex-husband!
Stella and Filip
Oh thank god, it’s time to end on some positivity!
The footage of their love story is everything the room needed. There are plenty of tears, and this time, they’re happy ones!
We needed this. (Nine)
Alessandra asks what they see when they look at one another.
“My future,” Filip says.
“Home,” Stella replies.
The episode wraps with a beautiful, moving tribute to the late Mel Schilling, and I can’t imagine there is a dry eye in any of our living rooms right now.
What an icon. RIP, Mel.
And on that very touching note, the 2026 experiment is officially done.
A wild three months of love, heartbreak and sparring women have finally come to an end – thanks for joining the ride.
