This includes an Olympic bronze, winning the World Championships four times, as well as the European Championships four times too. Chris was also awarded BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year in 1984 after winning his gold medal.

When confirming their romance, they released a joint statement that read: “We have been great friends for more than 30 years. Following recent media speculation, we feel the necessity to confirm that this year has seen a change in our relationship, but we are taking things very slowly, as it is early days.

“We’d very much like to thank our dear friends, who have been so incredibly supportive to us. We both have families with children, so we ask the media to please respect their privacy.”

Prior to this romance, the TV judge had been married twice before. His first wife was Isabelle Duchesnay, who he was married to from 1991-1993. She was a French-Canadian World ice dance champion he met while helping her and her brother choreograph performances.

A year after their divorce, he wed Jill Trenary, an American skater, who he was with from 1994-2010.
