From “American Idol” to oceans of worship — Breanna Nix is setting sail into the next chapter of her faith-filled music journey.
The Season 23 finalist has been announced as a featured guest on the 2025 Summer Worship Nights Cruise, joining Christian music giants Phil Wickham and Brandon Lake aboard the Carnival Freedom for five nights of praise, purpose, and powerful community at sea.
Departing June 21, 2025, the cruise will stop in Nassau, Princess Cays, and Grand Turk, blending tropical relaxation with unforgettable worship under the stars. The event is presented by Air1 Radio, with presale registration beginning June 4 and public booking opening June 7.
“I’m so excited!” Nix shared on Instagram. “I’m getting to cruise and worship with some of my favorite artists in the world! What more can a girl ask for?! I’ll see y’all soon!”

Nix’s invitation marks a turning point in her breakout year. Just months ago, she was leading intimate worship from her living room with her husband — a now-viral cover of “My God Can” still making waves online.

A Dream Come True with Brandon Lake
Nix’s relationship with Brandon Lake has become one of the most inspiring arcs to come out of American Idol Season 23. It began with a surprise FaceTime from Lake during Hollywood Week after Nix and fellow contestant Rylie O’Neill performed his song “Gratitude.”
By the finale, she was onstage beside him, performing a moving duet of “Daddy’s DNA” — now featured on Lake’s deluxe edition of King of Hearts, released June 16.
“From a FaceTime on Idol to singing with Brandon on national television — and now being featured on his album — I still can’t believe it,” Nix wrote. “God’s faithfulness blows me away.”
That faith was rewarded again when her debut single “Higher” knocked Lake’s “Hard Fought Hallelujah” from the top spot on Billboard’s Christian Digital Song Sales chart.
