As she prepares to celebrate her milestone 40th birthdayThis Morning star Josie Gibson is opening up about life, love, and what really matters — once and for all addressing the rumors linking her to  TV favorite Stephen Mulhern.

💔 A Mother First, Always

In an emotional chat with The Mirror, Josie insisted that her six-year-old son, Reggie, remains her number one priority.

“Reg is my biggest distraction… those emotional bonds and connections are the things that last forever,” she explained.

For now, that means romance is firmly on the backburner. Josie confirmed she’s single, focused on motherhood and her thriving TV career, and simply doesn’t have time for dating.

“It wouldn’t be fair on anyone I dated. Where would they even fit in?” she admitted candidly.

😍 The Stephen Mulhern Speculation

Speculation first erupted back in April when Josie and Stephen were spotted holding hands backstage at Saturday Night Takeaway. Gossip spread like wildfire — was this the beginning of a new TV romance?

Stephen quickly shut down the chatter on This Morning, laughing it off and saying he was simply guiding Josie to her place during rehearsals:

“That’s it. Finito!” he joked.

Josie herself handled it with trademark humor, telling MailOnline:

“I’m in love with Stephen Mulhern. There you go. But story of my life, I don’t think he loves me.”

Love Isn’t Off the Table

Though she insists she isn’t actively looking for romance, Josie hasn’t completely ruled it out. In an interview with OK! Magazine, she admitted:

“To even kiss somebody, I’ve really got to love them. I can’t give my energy when I’m not completely into it.”

Her past relationships — from her Big Brother romance with John James Parton, to her former fiancé Luke Sanwo, to Reggie’s dad Terry — have all shaped her more careful, protective approach to love.

“I just can’t have my heart broken again,” she confessed.

Stronger Than Ever at 40

Today, Josie is thriving — living in Bath with Reggie, co-parenting positively with Terry (whom she calls a fantastic dad), and juggling her busy London TV schedule.

With 40 just around the corner, Josie says she feels more grounded than ever:

“If I’m spending time away from my little boy on something that may or may not work out, I’m going to regret that.”

 Walking Into a New Chapter

Whether or not love finds her again, Josie is stepping into her next decade with confidence, clarity, and plenty of heart. And while she may laugh off the Stephen Mulhern rumors, one thing is crystal clear: for Josie Gibson, family will always come first.
