Jamal Roberts Joins R&B Icons Brandy and Monica on Their First-Ever Co-Headlining Tour — With Kelly Rowland and Muni Long
June 24, 2025 — It’s official! American Idol Season 23 winner Jamal Roberts is heading out on his very first U.S. tour—and he’s doing it alongside some of the biggest names in R&B history.
Brandy and Monica, whose legendary duet “The Boy Is Mine” defined an era, are finally teaming up for their first co-headlining tour, appropriately named “The Boy Is Mine Tour.” Announced live on CBS Mornings, the 24-city trek will also feature Grammy-winning stars Kelly Rowland and Muni Long, with Jamal Roberts joining them for the entire run.
“They’ve been trying to get us to do this since ’98,” Brandy shared. “It just finally felt like the right time.”

Though Jamal hasn’t directly commented since the news broke, he’d been dropping hints for weeks.
“The schedule’s about to get hectic, y’all,” he teased in a Facebook Live on June 22. “And I cannot wait to announce this tour.”
