American Idol runner-up John Foster is finally getting a chance to enjoy some downtime after the whirlwind few weeks that followed the show. The singer shared a new Instagram photo from his beach vacation with girlfriend Brooklyn Bourque.
In the pic, the Louisiana teens posed in front of the water while wearing hats and sunglasses. Bourque reposted the image to her Instagram Story.
“@brooklyn_bourque and I are sending all of our family love from Navarre Beach!” Foster captioned the pic.
“We’re enjoying some relaxation in between working to get some great things going!”
Following the American Idol finale in May, Foster began playing shows and working on new music, so this is the first real break he’s gotten in several months. He and Bourque celebrated their one-year anniversary in May.
“It’s been an amazing year and you’ve been beside me every step of the way,” Foster wrote on social media to celebrate. “Happy 1 year anniversary. I love you so much.”
Foster introduced American Idol fans to Bourque during one of the American Idol live shows. When judge Luke Bryan pointed out that the women behind him were going nuts over Foster’s performance, the aspiring singer confirmed that one of the ladies was his girlfriend.
“Wow I’m still reminiscing this special moment!!” she gushed on Instagram afterwards. “I feel so blessed to love and be loved by someone who is so genuine, thoughtful, and so so very sweet. You make me so happy all I can do is jump up and down!! I just love our love☺️@officialjohnfoster. And YES he is VERY romantic haha.”
Bourque was along for the ride on Foster’s American Idol journey. Not only did she attend several of the live shows, she was also in Hawaii with him for his Top 24 performance.
