On Tuesday, Aug. 12, the singer, 37, revealed on Instagram that her hair has been falling out since undergoing breast cancer surgery. Jessie J underwent a mastectomy in June after being diagnosed with “early breast cancer.”
“Hello, I’m shooting a TV show today,” the “Price Tag” artist said as she sat inside a closet. “You can see how curly my hair is.” Combing her shoulder length hair, she continued, “I’m gonna do my hair and makeup myself.”
“Also a Christmas special,” she continued. “It’s cold outside, Santa Claus is coming to town. My hair has been falling out like crazy since the surgery.”

Speaking about her son, Sky Safir, whom she shares with partner Chanan Safir Colman, the performer added, “So Sky’s been away for two weeks.”
“That’s all I would do,” Jessie J said as she added concealer to her face. “My boobs still aren’t even.”
Pressing her hands on her chest, she continued, “This is the implant, still so sore. And then this is my old. ‘Aww, you’re not old,’ ” she added while pressing her hands on the other side of her chest.
“I also only ever just use my egg,” Jessie J said while holding her beauty blender.
The musician then sang a melodic lyric, “after all these years,” appearing to be from her 2025 song “Living My Best Life.”

“It’s so hard like you are always gonna leave some people disappointed,” she continued. “My perspective of everything has changed so much.”
Jessie J’s update comes after she revealed she would need to have another surgery this year. “Another surgery needed this year. I can do it. ✔️Raising a toddler. I can do it. ✔️Releasing new music. I can do it. ✔️,” she wrote on Instagram, adding that seven weeks had passed since her initial surgery and that she was “still in the thick of recovery.”
The post came after she announced she was hospitalized for a suspected blood clot in her lungs six weeks after the mastectomy.
