On Wednesday, Filip took to social media to share a carousel of images of his life since his and Stella’s engagement was called off.
It included several snaps of the builder and coach catching up with his MAFS co-stars, including controversial characters Danny Hewitt and Chris Nield as well as Scott McCristal.
Filip captioned the post: “The only things you truly control are: your attitude, your effort, your words, your actions, your habits, your discipline, your integrity, your response to adversity, who you spend your time with, what you consume, what you choose to focus on, the standards you hold yourself to.”
Others flocked to the comment section of the post to show their support.
“Well said,” fellow Season 13 groom David Momoh wrote .
Another said: “Very true. Bad things happen to very good people, just gotta keep doing your best.”
Filip’s update comes a little over a week after Stella revealed the couple were no longer together.
She claimed that Filip was the one to end the engagement over the phone.

On Thursday morning Stella, 32, shared what was supposed to be a “surprise” for the ex couple’s one-year anniversary. It instead served as a reminder she was “still worthy” despite their spilt.

The update comes after Stella had confirmed their split on social media earlier this week, claiming Filip had called off their engagement via a phone call.
“This was supposed to be an anniversary surprise,” Stella began in a lengthy caption on Instagram while sharing a mirror selfie with fresh hair extensions and a new flame and leopard print dress.
“Instead, it became a love letter to myself,” she penned.
The reality star said while her new look was planned “for someone else” it was now exactly what she needed.
“A reminder that my life didn’t stop because a chapter ended. That I am still here, still growing, still worthy of feeling beautiful,” she went on.

“Healing rarely happens all a once. It happens in tiny decisions. A fresh set of hair. A new outfit. A walk. A smile that returns before you’re ready for it.”
With the bride appearing to be “smiling” again, she added: “One day, you’ll realise the light never actually left. You just had to find your way back to it.”

Stella’s post comes less than 24 hours after Filip hit back at her claims about the end of their relationship, sharing his own statement on social media.
Filip hits back at Stella’s claims
On Wednesday night Filip broke his silence on the split in a post on Instagram and explained that initially he didn’t want to comment publicly, or “contribute to negativity”.
“First of all I wanted to say thanks to everyone that has reached out for support during this tough time,” the statement started.

“All I want to say is, I’m not going to debate our relationship on social media.
“I respect what we shared, wish Stella the best, and I’m moving forward with peace and gratitude.”
Filip didn’t add a caption to the post, although the comments were quickly flooded with support for him – and more speculation as to what happened.

Stella begs fans to stop with the ‘hate’ online

Stella was forced to jump in and pleaded with people to stop the assumptions being made, as she poured her heart out in a post.
“Guys, this really needs to stop,” her comment started.
“Whatever assumptions are being made online, the reality is that this is someone I genuinely believed I was going to spend my life with. Seeing so much hate directed at another human being is heartbreaking.”
She stressed that their relationship ending didn’t make either of them villains.
“We were two people trying to navigate something incredibly difficult, and call me delulu but break ups do hurt on either sides. I don’t think I’m the only one hurting here so seeing this is actually making me sick. Yes it came as a blindsided decision, but at the end of the day , YOU DONT have to choose sides!!!!! Please just choose kindness. Neither of us deserves abuse,” she finished.

“Filip ended our relationship. While he had clearly been processing that decision for some time, I genuinely believed we were working towards the same future. I was completely blindsided.
“One thing I do want to clarify is that, despite what was shown on the show, I had made the decision to move to Melbourne. I own a business that I’ve spent years building, so it wasn’t as simple as packing a suitcase.”
She explained that she needed time to wrap up her life in Sydney before relocating.

“As our relationship grew, I believed moving to Melbourne made the most sense for us. It offered more family support, better work opportunities for Filip and a more affordable place for us to build a life together,” she said.

“I’ve always been realistic about my biological clock, and starting a family has been something I’ve hoped for for a long time. I genuinely thought we were making those decisions together.
“Instead, I received a phone call ending our relationship. I am heartbroken, deeply saddened and, if I’m honest, incredibly embarrassed that something I believed in so wholeheartedly didn’t work out the way I had hoped.

“It would be easy to tell this story by deciding who was right and who was wrong,” she began, alongside a photo of her sitting on the beach.
“To point fingers. To protect my ego. To pretend I was perfect. But no. I’m not here for that. Far from it. I made mistakes. I have regrets.
“And while those truths are painful to sit with… They’re also incredible gifts.”

Stella said she had previously believed her “urgency, my directness, my need to know, and my constant drive forward were simply signs of ambition”, but that had changed.

“This relationship quietly revealed something I couldn’t see before. Sometimes, sitting quietly beside that ambition … was fear.”
Stella’s cryptic message said that sometimes, those she loved don’t always experience her “intentions” with this ambition.
“Sometimes they experience pressure. Sometimes they experience control,” she said.
“Sometimes they experience someone who is so focused on tomorrow that they unintentionally miss the beauty of today. That has been one of the hardest mirrors I’ve ever had to look into.”
Unsurprisingly, the post left many fans assuming she was alluding to a break-up.

“Love you always my girl. Always here for you my queen,” Bec said.
“I love you very much, always here for you,” Rachel shared.
Meanwhile, Filip had not directly addressed speculation about the split but fans noticed a key absence from the groom’s recent post about balancing work, health, family, relationships and more.
“Where is Stella?” fans asked, noticing she was not featured in Filip’s carousel of images.
After meeting at the end of the aisle, Stella and Filip quickly became the 2026 season’s strongest couple.
They hit a temporary speed bump over whether Filip would pack up his life in Melbourne and move to Sydney but by the end of the experiment, Filip had committed to do so.
He got down on one knee and proposed at their Final Vows in November, and the couple told nine.com.au they planned to tie the knot in Croatia.
