A Broadchurch legend heads up the cast in this BBC thriller that has fans “hooked” from the get-go.
The BBC has a solid reputation for delivering top-notch thrillers, from the legendary Silent Witness to recent favourites like The Night Manager.
Now, a hidden gem from four years ago is available to stream on Netflix, featuring stars from Broadchurch, The Devil Wears Prada and It’s A Sin.
The four-part psychological drama Inside Man revolves around US Prisoner Grieff (portrayed by Stanley Tucci) who assists journalist Beth Davenport (Lydia West) in revealing the truth about a woman held captive in a cellar by a vicar.
Inside Man was not only crafted by Sherlock and Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat, but it also boasts an impressive and recognisable cast.

Taking on the role of prisoner Grieff is actor Stanley Tucci, known for his performances in The Devil Wears Prada franchise, The Lovely Bones and Hunger Games.
He shares the screen with Doctor Who icon David Tennant, also renowned for his portrayal of DI Alec Hardy in the hard-hitting ITV drama Broadchurch and Tony Baddingham in Disney+’s Rivals.
They’re joined by It’s A Sin and Years and Years actress Lydia West, who plays the journalist delving into the truth behind a malevolent vicar.
Whilst certain viewers have described the drama as “bonkers” and “utterly absurd”, numerous others have embraced the mayhem wholeheartedly.
A viewer remarked: “I was hooked right from the start. I watched all four episodes in one sitting.”

Another dubbed it “incredible, dark genius”, before writing: “Inside Man is a truly special show.”
They added: “Everything from the acting, music, story, directing, humour is just incredibly amazing.
“I one hundred percent absolutely recommend this show to anybody who loves dark thrillers, or David Tennant.”
A third agreed: “It’s brilliant, crazy and poignant all at the same time” whilst another declared: “This is the best show I have ever seen in my life!”
