Clancy is on trial for the alleged murders of Callan, his five-year-old sister Cora and three-year-old brother Dawson at the family’s home in Duxford, Massachusetts, in January 2023.
Clancy, 35, had been prescribed thirteen different psychiatric medications in the months leading up to the tragedy after suffering post-partum depression.
She admits killing her children but says she was suffering a psychotic break at the time and has denied murder.
The former nurse and her ex-husband, Patrick, have filed civil lawsuits against her providers alleging malpractice and negligence for her postpartum mental health issues.
Clancy sent Patrick out on an errand on the night of the killings, which prosecutors have said speaks to Clancy’s mental acuity at the time of the killings.
After the three children were smothered with exercise bands, Clancy jumped out an upstairs window of her home in a suicide attempt. She survived but suffered permanent paralysis from the waist down and now uses a wheelchair.
Psychiatrists who treated Clancy also gave evidence on Friday morning.

Defense accuses prosecution of ‘hot mic’ moment
In a wild moment, defense attorney Kevin Reddington accused the prosecution of being caught on a hot mic saying to ‘shut her up’ about Lindsay Clancy when autopsy photos were shown inside the courtroom.
When the court returned from the morning recess, Reddington said he had something to address before the jury came in.
The judge called for a sidebar, but Reddington refused, saying: ‘No, I don’t want to do it on sidebar.’
‘They were caught on a hot mic saying ‘shut her up’ during the playing of the autopsy,’ he shouted, gesturing at the prosecutors.
The two sets of attorneys were summoned to the bench and the sidebar sound drowned them out.
On Thursday, medical examiner Dr Kimberley Springer testified about carrying out Callan’s autopsy. Graphic autopsy photos were also shown to the jury.
During her testimony, Clancy broke down – sobbing loudly and uncontrollably at the defense table.

Clancy did not take the antidepressant she was prescribed
After that first appointment, Clancy chose not to take the antidepressants she was prescribed.
Dr Tufts testified that their second appointment was on September 28, 2022.
Clancy told her that she had picked up her Zoloft prescription but decided not to take it.
Clancy said she was feeling a little better because Callan was sleeping more – so she was able to sleep more too.
During that meeting, Clancy did also have very significant anxiety, she testified.
Because Clancy seemed to be improving, they decided to pause the medication and focus only on therapy.

Dr Tufts is back on the stand
During that first appointment with Clancy on September 15 2022, Dr Tufts said that Clancy told her she had previously tried Zoloft after Dawson’s birth.
She had described having common side effects. The doctor couldn’t recall what those side effects were but they were not concerning, she said.
In her medical notes, Dr Tufts had also written down that Clancy said she did not have any thoughts about harming her baby.
Clancy did report being worried about Callan eating and drinking because he was refusing a bottle.

Within moments, the emotion inside the courtroom shifted.
Two female jurors quietly brushed tears from their faces. Clancy’s mother Paula Musgrove dabbed a tissue to her eyes while her father Mike grew visibly flushed.
