A miscommunication is reportedly causing tensions between Prince Harry and Buckingham Palace. While Prince William was on a five-day trip to Brazil for COP30, the Duke of Sussex announced he could be travelling to Canada for “rememberancetide”.

When the announcement of Harry’s visit to Toronto was made, his office told reporters that the Palace had been informed beforehand “as a courtesy”. But according to The Times, neither Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace received this notice, making people wonder if the message was actually ever sent. A source said it was “a bit rum” to say either palace had been informed prior to the announcement, as it was the first time they heard of it. Harry’s office gave no reply when they were asked when they had informed the palaces. The claim that the Duke of Sussex’s trip had been run past the Palace gave it a “seal of approval”, especially given it was a Remembrance visit in a Commonwealth nation. But given the Palace’s lack of prior knowledge, this has reportedly caused more tension between the Sussexes and the Royal Family.

While in Toronto, Harry met soldiers from the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, troops from the Royal Regiment of Canada, and veterans at Sunnybrook Hospital.

The Duke also released an essay on his website, entitled The Bond, the Banter, the Bravery: What it Means to be British. It reflected on remembrance, with Harry saying it “is not simply a minute’s silence”, but “a call to collective responsibility”.

But on the morning of Remembrance Sunday, when the royal family were attending the National Service at the Cenotaph, images of Harry at a party the night before emerged.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended Kris Jenner’s James Bond–themed 70th birthday party in Los Angeles, hosted by Jeff Bezos.

The couple were pictured speaking to the Kardashian family. Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner both posted pictures of themselves with the Sussexes on Instagram, but these photos were later removed.

It has been reported that the removal of the pictures was at the request of Harry and Meghan, but other sources have disputed this claim.
