Nancy Guthrie’s last Facebook posts before she vanished have now been revealed as the search for her enters its fourth day.

The 84-year-old, who is the mom of Today host Savannah Guthrie, posted about Alex Pretti, the Minneapolis ICU nurse that was shot dead by ICE last month, in the days before she was last seen at her Arizona home.

The post, which appeared to be uploaded on January 27, was a reel from Instagram that seemed to show Pretti being honored at the hospital where he worked, but Reuters later revealed it was actually a clip from 2020 inside a Colorado hospital and was ‘incorrectly described online.’

Just a few minutes before that, Nancy had also shared an informational post about tile-based game Mahjong – in particular how to receive help selecting the 2025 National Mah Jongg League card.

Nancy seemed to be an avid player of the probability game, as it has been reported that she had dinner with Savannah’s sister, Annie, before playing mahjong on the night that she disappeared. 

Nancy Guthrie was first reported missing in Tuscon, Arizona, at noon on Sunday by her family. She has not been seen since the night of January 31.

Haunting new details about her disappearance have come to light, with investigators believing that the elderly woman was abducted.

Her Apple Watch stopped syncing with her pacemaker at 2am, suggesting she was taken from the home, where the watch was found, around then.

Nancy lives in a $1 million home in the affluent Catalina Foothills area. Her phone, wallet, and car were all still at her home when police began looking for her, and detectives searched her property.

Lights in the common area were all on, and Nancy’s front door was unlocked but there were signs of forced entry, the Daily Mail understands.

Police are going door-to-door to collect camera footage from neighbors in a bid to try identify a suspect, and officers are also searching for a vehicle of interest, a source said.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos believes that Nancy is still alive as the search for the Today Show host’s mother enters its fourth day.

‘We have nothing else to go on but the belief that she is here,’ Nanos told NBC in an interview that aired Wednesday morning.

‘She’s present. She’s alive, and we want to save her.’

He noted that his department is taking all tips and leads very seriously.

‘The leads we’ve got coming in are critical to us. They’re valuable, and we’re sharing those with the FBI and others,’ Nanos said.

On Wednesday morning, Pima County Sheriff’s Department shared on X (formerly Twitter) that no suspect or person of interest has been identified yet.

Guthrie has been absent from the Today Show amid the crisis, and has dropped out of hosting the Winter Olympics in Milan

They are also investigating the possibility that a ransom demand has been made. Multiple newsrooms reported receiving what appeared to be copies of the note, including TMZ, which reports the kidnappers demanded crypto among other things.

The notes are said to have shared details about damage to Nancy’s home and what she was wearing that have not been released to the public.

Pima County Sheriff’s Office have acknowledged them but have refused to verify their contents, or confirm whether their deputies have received any ransom demands for Nancy.

The FBI are helping with the case and President Trump himself has offered assistance.

A $2,500 reward has been offered for information about her disappearance.

Guthrie has been absent from the Today Show amid the crisis.

On Monday, she put a post up on social media asking followers to ‘please pray’ and to ‘bring her home.’

‘We believe in prayer. We believe in voices raised in unison, in love, in hope. We believe in goodness. We believe in humanity. Above all, we believe in Him,’ she wrote.

‘Thank you for lifting your prayers with ours for our beloved mom, our dearest Nancy, a woman of deep conviction, a good and faithful servant. raise your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted by them in this very moment,’ the anchor said.

‘We need you,’ she said, including a Bible verse from the book of Isaiah.
