Feedback Week on MAFS 2026 has mostly consisted of couples recovering from the drama of the couples retreat. As a season-long feud between Gia and Bec was reignited by intruder bride Juliette as she released screenshots of vicious texts between Bec, Gia, and Brook has left none of the brides in a good light.

This week, couples were tasked with receiving feedback from other contestants, a task that left Bec and David facing off as David grilled Bec on her “bullying” towards Alissa.

While Bec chose to face the music and apologise (yet again) for her past actions, Gia refused to take part at all.

This caused problems for both of the brides’ grooms, Scott and Danny, as they finally reached the end of their patience for their wives’ drama.

WHO spoke with Sydney-based family lawyer, co-parenting expert and author Gabriella Pomare about the dangers of leaving conflict like this unresolved.

Gia refused to take ‘accountability’ during Feedback Week

As Scott had a refreshing conversation with Stella about the state of his and Gia’s relationship, Gia chose to opt out of the activity entirely.

While Scott unpacked with Stella where Gia’s “need for drama” with Bec might come from, Gia stood-up Danny at the pub, refusing to take any “accountability” for her actions.

Despite wanting to tell Gia what he learnt about his conversation with Stella, Scott soon learnt that bringing up anything negative about their relationship would only lead to more trouble that he simply didn’t have the energy to manage.

After Stella and Philip sent the couple an anonymous letter with suggested improvements and observations on their relationship, Gia dismissed it entirely, ripping it up and throwing it on the couch, leaving Scott to coyly laugh and smile as she claimed they “don’t know her” or “anything” about their “relationship.”

It seems Gia was very happy to force Bec into accountability with publicly released “receipts“, but wasn’t prepared to cop any of the backlash herself. While she’s skilled at gathering evidence and stirring the pot, perhaps Gia isn’t as skilled at facing conflict one-on-one in private.

In an interview with WHO, Sydney-based family lawyer, co-parenting expert and author Gabriella Pomare spoke about the poor example this kind of behaviour can set.

“For younger audiences especially, it can normalise the idea that conflict is something to perform publicly rather than resolve privately,” Gabriella said. “Instead of learning how to disagree respectfully, they learn how to gather evidence.”

Scott sheepishly followed Gia out the door

This behaviour is certainly taking it’s toll on Scott, even though he may not show it. On Monday night’s episode, on March 16, the cracks in this self-proclaimed “power couple” started to show as Scott was shown unable to speak honestly with Gia about his concerns.

On tonight’s episode, on March 17, fans watched Scott fail to be honest with Gia again, so much so that he followed her right out the door.

After receiving that anonymous letter from Stella, Gia decided that she’d had enough of the MAFS experiment and packed her bags, with a loyal Scott trailing behind.

According to Scott, him and Gia had a “pact” that they would “leave” the experiment “together.” So, when the time finally came for Gia to explain herself yet again, this time without her “girls’ girls” Juliette and Brooke by her side, she fled.

Alissa watched the couple leave from her balcony, announcing to David that they “checked out of the experiment” in a massive “cop out.”
