“Excuse me, Mr. Coolbert, I was unfamiliar with your game,” one person wrote.

Stephen Tyrone Colbert had the honor of being on the cover of the 30th annual Men of the Year issue for GQ, and it had the internet saying, “I can’t handle his sexiness” and “raw, next question.”

For the GQ shoot, he was styled by George Cortina and photographed by Tyrell Hampton, a dynamic pairing responsible for sensational looks like this and this.

So, when GQ’s 30th annual Men of the Year party took place at Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont on Nov. 13, it made all the sense for Stephen to show up and show out on the red carpet.

Stephen was co-hosting the event alongside Sydney Sweeney, Seth Rogen, Oscar Isaac, SZA, Clipse, and Hailey Bieber.

Following the event’s “90s Hollywood Red Carpet” theme, Stephen opted for an understated look with a black leather bomber jacket, a striped shirt, and a polka-dot tie.

Wearing something like what my dad would have rocked in 1995, Stephen, accompanied by his wife, Evie, turned heads and had the internet thirsting over him with one person in this thread saying, “He’s a dreamboat.”

Another person said, “I’ve always found him quite attractive, and somehow even more so with the silver in his hair! Plus I love how in love he is with his wife.”

“In hollywood, i deeply admire all the couples who have grown old and faithful together,” another person added.

This person said, “I’m a man and I love everything about this outfit.”

“Excuse me, Mr. Coolbert, I was unfamiliar with your game,” someone else wrote.

Another person added, “Love the Indiana jones jacket,” and now, I totally see the vision Stephen was going for.

And finally, another person said, “that’s who man who looks like he SLEEPS LIKE A BABY knowing he is using his platform for good and not selling out like 99% of the other people in his industry. aging like fine wine.”

Talking to E! News, Evie shared that she “likes this kind of new image,” to which Stephen quipped that she called it his “I don’t give a fuck era.”

“That’s what I said to the kids,” she said. “I said, ‘Your father’s officially entered his I don’t give a fuck stage of life.’”

“I tried. I tried giving a fuck. They didn’t want it anymore,” Stephen added, possibly referencing The Late Show‘s upcoming end in 2026.

In the interview for GQ’s Man of the Year issue, Stephen seems to be taking the cancellation in stride. “Listen, every show’s got to end at some time,” he said “And I’ve been on a bunch of shows that have ended sometimes by our lights and sometimes by the decision of other people. That’s just the nature of show business. You can’t worry about that. You got to be a big boy about that. But I think we’re the first number one show to ever get canceled.”

So, the moral of the story is even if you cancel Stephen’s late-night show, you can never cancel his style.
