rince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly enjoyed dinner with Ed Sheeran over the weekend during a trip to New York.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s reported meeting with the singer came after they were crowned Humanitarians of the Year at the Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Gala last week.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dine out with Ed Sheera

Meghan, Prince Harry, and Ed were spotted leaving an exclusive members’ club in Soho, New York, on Sunday (October 12).

Meghan and Harry were certainly dressed for the occasion. The duchess, 44, wore a strapless gown with her hair pulled back in a sleek bun. Harry, 41, meanwhile, wore a navy suit sans tie.

Ed, 34, however, opted for a more casual look, rocking a simple black t-shirt.

It was the second time Harry and Meghan had dined with a celeb at Soho House in New York over the weekend.

They reportedly sat down with tennis legend Serena Williams on Friday (October 10).

Serena shares a close friendship with Meghan. In 2021, after Harry and Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, Serena gushed: “Meghan is a great person and I think the epitome of strength, the epitome of confidence, the epitome of just selflessness, and the epitome of everything is just her and everything that she’s gone through.”

Ed Sheeran and Prince Harry’s past meeting

This isn’t the first time that Prince Harry and Ed Sheeran have crossed paths.

Back in 2019, Harry and Ed filmed a hilarious sketch together for World Mental Health Day.

Filmed in Prince Harry’s house, the sketch saw Ed explaining to the duke that he’d written a song to help raise awareness for World Mental Health Day.

However, it turns out that Ed had been planning to write a song to hit back at those who make fun of people with ginger hair!

Harry and Meghan at Soho House

The venue where Harry and Meghan met with Ed holds some special significance for the royal couple.

Soho House is where they enjoyed their first date back in 2016. However, the Soho House they got to know each other in was in London, not New York.

Speaking about their first date during their Netflix series, Harry & Meghan, in 2022, Meghan said: “We met at 76 Dean Street. You were late!”

Harry wrote about their first meeting in his book, Spare.

“I apologized. Profusely. I couldn’t imagine many people had been late for this woman,” he recalled.

“We’d each had first dates on which there was nothing to talk about, and now we both felt that special thrill when there’s too much to talk about, when there isn’t enough time to say all that needs to be said,” he added.

They met there again the very next evening, and the rest, they say, is history.
