The crime thriller, which ran for two seasons from 2013 to 2015, tells the story of a man on the run after being accused of murdering his ex-wife and one of his sons.

John Simm stars in series one
The series, created and written by Chris Lunt (Young Wallander, Devils), boasts a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes. Plus, the impressive ensemble cast features a number of British TV favourites, including Grace star John Simm, Line of Duty‘s Craig Parkinson and The Power of Parker actress Rosie Cavaliero.
What is Prey about?
John Simm stars as DS Marcus Farrow, whose life begins to unravel after his ex-wife and one of his sons are murdered – and all the evidence points towards him. After being arrested for the crime, Marcus manages to escape and is determined to clear his name and find out who killed his family.
In series two, Philip Glenister plays Prison Officer David Murdoch, whose life becomes very complicated when “events spiral out of control” during a routine visit to a Manchester hospital.
Rosie Cavaliero plays detective Susan Reinhart in both seasons
When his heavily pregnant daughter is kidnapped, David finds himself on the wrong side of the law and is forced into a dangerous cat-and-mouse chase while attempting to save her.

The Guardian hailed the series as a “gripping, breathless, buttock-clenching chase,” adding that the show lacks the “layered complexity” of the BBC’s hit crime drama, Line of Duty.
Meanwhile, The Telegraph described the series as “decent, dramatic stuff to wallow in”.

Prey is coming to Netflix soon. An exact release date has yet to be announced. In the meantime, viewers can watch both seasons of the show on Prime Video.
