For the first time on television, Stacey Solomon has introduced the father of her eldest son and opened up about becoming parents at just 17 and 18, in an emotional interview that has touched viewers with its raw honesty, courage, and love. The 36-year-old presenter and mother of five appeared on a special episode of Loose Women on December 23, 2025, alongside Aaron Barnham, now 35, the father of her son Zachary, 17. Solomon recounted the moment her stepmum noticed “something was wrong,” leading to a café conversation with her dad, stepmum, and mum that changed everything. “We were so young—I was 17, he was 18. Everyone was confused,” Solomon said, tears in her eyes. “But we decided to keep the baby — and it became the most powerful, brave, and right decision of my life.”Stacey Solomon says she was 'out of control' as a teen mum as she opens up about being pregnant aged 17

The segment, part of a holiday special on young parenthood, saw Solomon and Barnham reflect on their teenage years. Solomon fell pregnant in 2007 while studying at college, Barnham working as a plasterer. “My stepmum was the first to realise—I was tired, emotional,” Solomon shared. The family meeting in a local café was “awkward but supportive.” “They all sat together—my dad, stepmum, mum—talking about options. No judgment, just love.” Barnham added: “We were kids ourselves—scared, but excited.”

Zachary’s arrival in March 2008 transformed them. Solomon paused her education, Barnham worked double shifts. They co-parented after splitting in 2014, Solomon later marrying Joe Swash (sons Rex, 6; Rose, 4; daughter Belle, 2) and Barnham building his own family. “Aaron’s always been an amazing dad,” Solomon said. “Zach’s our pride.”
