“If he doesn’t get his medication, his lιfe could be at rιsk” — Police reveal HEARTBREAKING details after an elderly man was kidn:ɑpped from his North Ryde home in Sydney in a case of mistaken identity
An elderly man has been kidnapped from his Sydney home in an early morning gang raid which police believe is a terrible mistake.
Chris Baghsarian, 85, was dragged from his bed at 5am on Friday when three men smashed their way into his North Ryde home in the pre-dawn darkness.

“I just heard glass smashing and dogs barking,” neighbour Felix Cho said.
“The screaming just kept going and then it was muffled.
“He was just dragged into the car and flew off.”
The getaway car was later found burnt out in nearby South Turramurra.
In a cruel twist, police are certain the kidnappers have taken the wrong person with the 85-year-old now an innocent victim of Sydney’s gang wars.
“Police consider that Mr Baghsarian was not the intended target,” Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Marks said.

Detectives don’t know who the actual target was.
Baghsarian’s family is distraught as police launch a major investigation into the missing man.
“He keeps himself, you know, he lives on his own. Doesn’t make any trouble. He’s quite friendly, especially with my niece and nephew,” Cho said.

Police have grave concerns for his wellbeing, as he is frail and requires daily medication. Without it, his life could be in danger.
Officers have launched an urgent appeal to both the public and the kidnappers themselves.
“Please release Mr Baghsarian. Take him to a hospital. Take him to somewhere that’s safe,” Marks appealed.
“You tell us where he is, we’ll do the rest. You have the wrong person.”
