The deeply distressing allegations have rocked a small community.

A man from WA has been charged with hundreds of offences relating to crimes against children and bestiality.

Police allege the 34-year-old man, who is currently in prison, offended against 13 children between January 2023 and November 2025.

He has been charged with 204 offences including 45 counts of sexual penetration of a child under 13, 14 counts of sexual penetration of a child who is a known lineal relative, and nine counts of persistent sexual relationship with a child.

The man was also charged with producing, possessing and distributing child exploitation material.

He also faces five charges of having sex with an animal, and various other offences.

Detective Superintendent David Palmer said the investigation into the man began following “extensive inquiries” by Karratha Detectives and officers from the mining town of Tom Price.

The children and their families are being supported by the relevant authorities through trauma-informed counselling, advocacy and family support.

Palmer said the man’s offending was an “extreme breach of trust”.

“Children rely on adults for their safety and protection, and any allegation that a child has been harmed is deeply distressing for the wider community,” he said.

“This investigation demonstrates the commitment of the Western Australia Police Force to thoroughly investigate reports of child abuse, no matter how complex or confronting the circumstances may be.

“The number and seriousness of the charges reflect the scale of the alleged offending and the significant work undertaken by detectives.”

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, faced Perth Magistrates Court from Hakea Prison via video-link on Friday.

He is scheduled to reappear in the same court on May 8.
