Accused killer arrested at airport fleeing murder scene

The 67-year-old ex-husband of a missing woman has been charged with her murder after he was arrested while attempting to board an international flight.

Eva Lasrini, 53, was reported missing from Melbourne’s Dandenong area on Thursday after it is understood she failed to board a flight to Bali to visit her daughters.

One of her daughters posted a missing person appeal online, saying she was last seen active online about 12pm on Wednesday and her phone had been switched off since, with no response to messages.

Police confirmed Lasrini had not made contact with family or friends and deemed her disappearance suspicious.

Lasrini’s estranged husband, Allen Keys, was arrested at Melbourne Airport on Friday afternoon, just before he was due to board an international flight.

Following investigations into her disappearance, police located a woman’s body near Little River Rd and the Princes Fwy in Little River on Saturday afternoon.

“The body, which is yet to be formally identified, is believed to be the missing woman,” police said.

The location is about 80km from Lasrini’s Dandenong home.

Lasrini’s daughter said on social media that her mother had told her she was meeting her ex-husband, but contact was lost shortly afterwards.

7NEWS understands Keys had arranged to drive Lasrini to the airport.

However, Keys later shared a post on Wednesday — the day Lasrini dropped out of contact — stating “New girl new life!”, along with photos of another woman.

A post on Friday appeared to show him in Denpasar, Indonesia. Police, however, allege it was staged as he never left the country.

Keys has since been charged with one count of murder and remains in custody.

He appeared in court on Sunday and is due to return on August 10.
