You’re going to love these good Netflix shows released in January 2026.
With only one major new Netflix show still to come in January 2026, I thought it would be the perfect time to look back at the first month of the year and all the new releases to share a few good Netflix shows you probably missed.
Overall, it’s been a good start to the year with big hits like Bridgerton season 4, which lands on Wednesday, Jan. 29 and is the first big series of the year, along with new Netflix movies People We Meet On Vacation and The Rip. On the TV side, though, things have been a little bit sparse to start the year.
This is pretty normal for Netflix, which typically front-loads its year with new shows rather than the big returning shows. After Stranger Things came to an end at the very end of 2025, it makes sense for Netflix to save a few big shows for a little bit later. Still, fans need shows to watch, and luckily, there are a few Netflix shows we’d recommend.
Let’s get the list started with Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials!

Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials
Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials has all the makings of a big Netflix hit mystery show, but for some reason, the show has not been particularly popular since its premiere on Jan. 15.
The series is based on Christie’s novel, The Seven Dials Mystery, which tells the story of Lady Bundle Brent (Mia McKenna-Bruce) as she investigates a murder that connects to the highest levels of the British government and possibly involves a secret society in the 1920s.
The series is only three episodes, and it’s very Agatha Christie, which might not be quite as juicy as some of the newer Netflix mysteries we’ll talk about shortly. But, there’s a great twist, great performances, and the potential for a second season. I really think fans will enjoy this show if they try it!

(L to R) Jon Bernthal as Detective Jack Harper and Tessa Thompson as Anna in Episode #101 of His & Hers
His & Hers
It might be a little bit unfair to call His & Hers underrated at this point. It’s been the biggest show on Netflix for three weeks, basically, since it premiered on Jan. 8, but I don’t think that fans are paying enough attention to this show, and that’s why it gets a spot on the list.
His & Hers is based on a book of the same name by Alice Feeney. After a murder is committed in a small Georgia town, Detective Jack Harper (Jon Bernthal) steps up to find the killer, but a big-time TV journalist, Anna Andrews (Tessa Thompson) has her own plans to get involved in the murder in her hometown. Things get wild from there!
Honestly, this show is so interesting because it’s not the best thing I’ve ever seen, but it’s truly shocking. The twists are massive, and you’ll never see them coming. And, I know that gets overplayed any time there’s a new mystery, but truly, I was so shocked to learn just how everything played out.
If word of mouth continues for His & Hers, this show could crack the all-time Netflix Top 10 when it’s all said and done.

Finding Her Edge: Season 1. (L-R) Cale Ambrozic as Brayden Elliot and Madelyn Keys as Adriana Russo in Finding Her Edge: Season 1. Cr. NETFLIX © 2026
Finding Her Edge
Finding Her Edge is the latest ice skating show to find a home at Netflix. The series is based on Jennifer Iacopelli’s book of the same name that tells the story of an ice skater, Adriana (Madelyn Keys), who starts to fall for her new skating partner.
The Netflix original series just premiered on Jan. 22, so it hasn’t even been on Netflix for a full week, and it’s already cracked the Netflix Top 10. The kicker is viewership probably needs to be a little bit better for the show to pick up a second season renewal. If you missed this show but think you might like it, there’s never been a better time to watch.
Finding Her Edge is the perfect romantic Netflix show to start your new year off with a triple axel. Check it out now!

11.22.63 — “The Rabbit Hole” Part 1 — Jake Epping (James Franco) is burned out and last. His ex-wife has moved on, his students are always distracted, and his novel went nowhere. Then one of his dearest friends, Al Templeton (Chris Cooper), shows him the “rabbit hole,” a secret time portal that leads back to 1960. Al asks Jake to head back to the past and create a better world by stopping the Kennedy assassination. Jake heads down the rabbit hole to begin his mission – but finds that changing
11.22.63
11.22.63 should not be on the Netflix Top 10 and this big of a hit. The series is not a Netflix original series. Instead, it’s a Hulu series based on Stephen King’s book, 11/22/63, and it premiered on Hulu way back in February 2016. It’s literally 10 years old!
But, based on the fact that it was an early Hulu series and starring James Franco, this show never caught on the mainstream. Netflix is the biggest streaming service, and we often see older shows get a big bump like this when they join the platform.
The series tells the story of Jake, played by Franco, who is asked by a friend to use his time travel method to return to the 1960s and stop the assassination of John F. Kennedy, Jr, who was the President of the United States at the time he was killed. Nothing goes as planned in time travel shows, as we all know by now.
Anyway, if you’re interested in alt-history of the JFK assassination, 11.22.63 is the show to watch on Netflix right now!
That’s the list of four good Netflix shows that you probably missed in January 2026. Don’t forget to check them out before a bunch of new shows are released in February.
