Fox News host Kat Timpf clapped back at a critic who called her “egocentric” for sharing her breast cancer journey.
The commentator recently announced she’s cancer-free after undergoing a double mastectomy in March. Timpf has been open about her diagnosis and fight against cancer, particularly on her social media platforms. On Friday, June 27, she took to Instagram Stories to post a critic’s message and her retort.
She posted the individual’s remark on a black backdrop, which stated, “Sorry Kat, but you are not all that and a bag of chips. I am REALLY HAPPY that you kicked cancer’s butt and that you are a mom; however using it all the time is getting very old. Other people have gone through the very same thing and are very humble. Don’t be so egocentric.”
Timpf countered with her own words in white text, saying, “PSA: I will likely talk about this for the rest of my life as that is how long it will affect me. Making jokes heals me and I won’t stop doing it. If it offends you that badly, feel free to unfollow me.”

This incident follows Timpf’s return from maternity leave to the Gutfeld! show on Monday, June 16, reports the Irish Star.
The 36-year-old had taken a break since the birth of her son in February. It was shortly after her son’s birth, on February 25, that she received her stage zero breast cancer diagnosis. A month later, Timpf underwent a double mastectomy. Upon her return to the show, she announced that she was “boob-free” and had “cut my t–s off.”
Timpf added, “I am cancer-free as well. They got everything,” which was met with thunderous applause from the studio audience. “So I’m very excited about it. It was a hard thing to go through, and it still is.”
She also mentioned that she has more reconstructive surgeries ahead, but emphasized, “Tough thing to go through, easy decision to make because I didn’t want to risk my life over a couple of 32As.”
During an appearance on the Gutfeld! show on June 21, Timpf, also a comedian, made light of her double mastectomy. Her co-host, former marine Johnny Joey Jones, humorously suggested his role at the network was due to him being a double amputee.

“I mean that’s why there’s a rub here because it’s like [Timpf] knows that’s the only reason I have this job to begin with,” Jones remarked. “And she’s going to get cancer and take the sympathy card right out from under me.”
Timpf quipped back, “Well, yeah! Now you’re not the only double amputee on the show.”
The joke was a hit, eliciting laughter from both the panel and the audience. She shared the humorous exchange on her Instagram on June 21, captioning it, “Pretty sure this is my funniest joke ever of all time.”
