Carrie Underwood has revealed she is nursing a sick rooster who lives on her farm – which she was recently forced out of because of it being overrun by bees.
At the start of the month, the singer confirmed that she had to flee her Tennessee farm after the winged insects invaded her orchard as she was picking blueberries.
Now, Carrie has taken to Instagram to share that her rooster has now been taken ill. It comes after a souce close to the star said last month that her debut season as a judge on American Idol may be her last.
Underwood shared a snap of herself with the bird, who was wearing a blue harness and green bowtie, and wrote in the caption, “Sick rooster in a harness.” She also shared another snap of the poorly animal and added, “I don’t think he likes it.”
In the snap the star looked radiant and donned a blue T-shirt.

She detailed the bee saga in an Instagram clip two weeks ago, saying, “Had to get out of the orchard when the bees started swarming…”
As she zoomed in on the beehive, the singer added, “They landed on a blueberry bush…maybe we can catch them tomorrow if they’re still there.”
The Before He Cheats hitmaker bought her Franklin farm in 2011 for $3 million, and shares the pad with her husband, Mike Fisher, and their two sons, Isaiah, 10 and Jacob, six.
Underwood owns a flock of chickens and often shares updates about them on social media when they get ill.
