Love Island All Stars descended into chaos at the end of last night’s episode as a fiery late arrival sparked a major row in the villa.

The third instalment of Love Island All Stars finally returned to Irish screens on Virgin Media Two after filming had been delayed due to wildfires close to the South African villa.

Host Maya Jama welcomed back a mix of familiar faces from the past decade of the show, all hoping to find love again – but calm didn’t last long once the latest bombshell made his entrance.

Just as the Islanders were settling into villa life, former League of Ireland footballer Scott van der Sluis arrived and immediately caused controversy. Even Maya branded it a “spicy entrance” after Scott – who previously played for Dublin’s Shelbourne – clashed with fellow Islander Sean within moments of walking in.

The Welsh-born reality star didn’t hold back, telling Sean he was “one of the worst Islanders” he had ever seen. Sean fired back: “How many finals did you make?” to which Scott replied: “How many shows have I been on?”

Things quickly escalated, with Scott insisting he was “just being honest” before launching into a brutal rant. He added that Sean was “so far up Joey’s a**e you were naming his organs after candy”, leaving host Maya and the rest of the villa visibly stunned, Mirror UK reports.

Scott has strong Irish links, having made his debut for Shelbourne FC in the League of Ireland Premier Division in 2022. However, after appearing on series 10 of Love Island, Shelbourne manager at the time, Damien Duff, later confirmed Scott would not be returning to the club.

This marks Scott’s fourth appearance across the Love Island franchise. In 2023, he featured on the tenth series of Love Island, Love Island USA and Love Island Games, before returning again this year as the first bombshell on Love Island All Stars 2026.

Viewers were left shaken by the tense scenes, with one writing: “That episode ending was such an uncomfortable watch. Sean looked like he wanted to cry and Scott kept going in on him continuously.”

Another said: “Scott coming in with Big Bully Vibes has really cringed me out. Sean clearly doesn’t even know him from the outside so why give him s***? Bizarre behaviour. It’s like picking on the kid that won’t fight back vibes. If I was one of those girls, I wouldn’t go near him.”

However, not everyone was put off by the explosive return. One delighted fan wrote: “SCOTT BACK ON LOVE ISLAND IM SOOO HAPPY.” Another said: “I don’t mind Scott coming back on Love Island again! He’s being great TV right now!”

There’s added Irish interest this season too, with Jack Keating – son of Boyzone star Ronan Keating – returning to the villa. After a very short stint during his first appearance, Jack is hoping for a proper chance at finding love this time around.

Speaking ahead of his return, Scott said: “I think I will just be myself, there’s shows that I’ve done since my first series on Love Island where I don’t feel like I’ve been myself, especially in America, but I want to bring an updated version of myself now I’m a bit older.

“I got involved in quite a few situations last time where I look back and wonder if I should have said something, but I don’t think I’ll hold back this time, I want to stamp my authority.”
