“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience to fans who wanted to see Tim McGraw, and we wish Tim the very best in his recovery,” the statement added. This came as Deadline reported in January that the 1883 actor would no longer be headlining Netflix‘s upcoming rodeo series. A source at the time told the outlet that Tim had to undergo back surgery and would need time to recover
Tim gave a health update on Tracy Lawrence’s TL’s Road House podcast in May about his rehabilition following his back surgery.
“I can tell you that after double knee replacements and three back surgeries and now a torn rotator cuff and a ruptured disc, all the things that are going on, there were times this year that I thought this might be it,” Tim said. “This might be time to hang it up.”
Tim shared that he is still working out but has to be cautious because he “can’t move quickly.”
“Everything has to be very intentional; everything that I do has to be very methodical. I have to do cold plunges, I have to do infrared saunas. I have to do massages,” said McGraw.
On another podcast, The Bobby Bones Show he said that he was. “getting there” as he “had three back surgeries, double knee replacements in the last 6, 8 months.”
