Tim McGraw is recovering from back surgery with  his wife Faith Hill by his side.

The country singer posted on his  Instagram on Tuesday, July 1, a photo of him, 57, and Faith, 58, as they are currently in Copenhagen, Denmark to see their daughter Audrey McGraw perform. The photo showed Tim holding the top of his cane with both hands as Faith leaned on him with her hand and the side of her face. Tim was dressed in a yellow and grey stripped sweater with a green cap while the There You’ll Be artist had on an olive green button-down blouse and oversized shades.

PBR CEO Sean Gleason released a statement on Monday, June 23, announcing that country group Cross Canadian Ragweed will be replacing Tim.”Cross Canadian Ragweed will step in for Tim McGraw as he recovers from back surgery to open the Last Cowboy Standing Show on July 21 in Fort Collins — and we couldn’t be more thrilled,” the statement said.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience to fans who wanted to see Tim McGraw, and we wish Tim the very best in his recovery,” the statement added.This came as  Deadline reported in January that the 1883 actor would no longer be headlining Netflix‘s upcoming rodeo series. A source at the time told the outlet that Tim had to undergo back surgery and would need time to recover

Tim gave a health update on Tracy Lawrence’s TL’s Road House podcast in May about his rehabilition following his back surgery.

“I can tell you that after double knee replacements and three back surgeries and now a torn rotator cuff and a ruptured disc, all the things that are going on, there were times this year that I thought this might be it,” Tim said. “This might be time to hang it up.”

Tim shared that he is still working out but has to be cautious because he “can’t move quickly.”

“Everything has to be very intentional; everything that I do has to be very methodical. I have to do cold plunges, I have to do infrared saunas. I have to do massages,” said McGraw.

On another podcast, The Bobby Bones Show he said that he was. “getting there” as he “had three back surgeries, double knee replacements in the last 6, 8 months.”
