Kelly Reilly stars in the new six-part crime drama, which has just premiered its first two episodes on Sky.

Yellowstone star Kelly Reilly spearheads this captivating and sinister crime drama that has just launched its opening two episodes.

This six-episode thriller showcases Reilly, renowned for her portrayal of the fierce Beth Dutton in the acclaimed Western series, as Jackie Ellis, an ex-detective turned educator who finds herself drawn into an inquiry surrounding a disturbing crime in her compact Welsh community.

Her previous colleague, Eric Bull (portrayed by Rafe Spall), is charged with spearheading the probe, which stirs up recollections of a comparable shocking event from three years prior that resulted in Jackie’s departure from the force.

Following its tease to audiences last year, Sky subscribers can finally immerse themselves in this compelling murder mystery today (Friday, 30th January) as the double-episode launch is ready to stream.

Fresh instalments of this essential viewing will drop on Fridays throughout February, so ensure you carve out space in your weekend watching plans for Under Salt Marsh, reports Wales Online.

A complete synopsis for this unmissable series states: “Under Salt Marsh is a gripping and cinematic crime drama set in the fictional Welsh town of Morfa Halen, a tightknit community precariously nestled between towering mountains and a fast-encroaching sea that threatens its very existence.

“As a once-in-a-generation storm threatens to strike the town, former detective turned teacher Jackie Ellis discovers the body of her 9-year-old pupil, Cefin, seemingly drowned.

“The discovery sends shockwaves through the community, reviving the ghost of an unsolved cold case that rocked the town three years prior – the disappearance of Jackie’s niece, Nessa, which cost her career and broke down her relationship with her sister.”
