Two weeks after the season 23 finale of “American Idol,” finalists Gabby Samone and Kolbi Jordan reunited in Nashville with winner Jamal Roberts, one of their besties on the show. On the evening of June 3, 2025, Roberts hosted a nearly hour-long Facebook Live from a nail salon as the trio got pedicures, drawing thousands of views and comments.
The 27-year-old soul singer insisted the ladies “dragged” him outside for a bit of pampering, joking to fans, “My feet did need a little TLC — I’ve been running for Jesus a long time!”
Samone, Jordan, and Roberts grew close on “American Idol,” but live far apart. Samone is from Baltimore, Jordan is from Tulsa, and Roberts hails from Meridian, Mississippi. The three reunited for laughs — and a little pampering — ahead of the epic “American Idol” reunion concert they’ll be part of on June 4, featuring a dozen recent alums, including season 23 runner-up John Foster and third-place finisher Breanna Nix.
Fans Love Seeing Jamal Roberts, Gabby Samone, & Kolbi Jordan Together Again
Fans loved seeing the trio of friends back together, with over 14,000 people leaving comments on Roberts’ live feed as he, Samone, and Jordan laughed, teased each other, and sang along with the radio throughout their pedicures at a Nashville nail salon.
“i love how no one was bitter and yall stayed friends,” one person wrote and another chimed in, “Y’all friends for life 💖”
Someone else commented, “I love yall together yall need a reality show”
The three singers grew close during the many months they spent working on “American Idol,” from Hollywood Week to performing in Hawaii to the live shows in Los Angeles. It was clearly not their first time getting their feet done together, either, as Roberts patiently waited for his pedicurist, joking that he and Jordan are “always last whenever we go to a nail salon.”
He also couldn’t wait to show fans how Jordan reacts to having her feet scrubbed, turning the camera on her as she laughed, squirmed, and squealed.
“Look at her, she can’t even sit still,” Roberts laughed.
Who Else From ‘American Idol’ Will Perform at the 19 Recordings Takeover?
On June 4, the record label partner of “American Idol” — 19 Recordings — hosts its annual 19/BMG Takeover concert in Nashville, held the night before CMA Fest begins.
In addition to Roberts, Samone, Jordan, Foster, and Nix, other alums appearing at the concert are season 23 finalists Thunderstorm Artis and Mattie Pruitt, as well as recent fan-favorites Will Moseley, Colin Stough, Haven Madison
The only top 2025 contestant missing from the bunch, many fans noted on social media, was 18-year-old Slater Nalley, who placed in the top five but just signed a management deal with an agency separate from 19 Recordings, potentially precluding him from appearing.
