Alan Jackson wrapped his Last Call: One More for the Road tour last month. After a decades-long career in country music, the superstar is saying farewell to the stage. He is fighting a battle with a degenerative neurological condition called Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. As a result, he chose to bow out gracefully before the condition stole his ability to perform.

May 17 marked the final tour date of Jackson’s career. It came just days after the Academy of Country Music introduced the Alan Jackson Lifetime Achievement Award, of which he was the first recipient. He also gave a heartfelt performance of “Remember When” during the awards show. Countless fans across the country watched what was one of the final performances of a long and storied career. However, there might still be hope for those who haven’t seen him perform live.
While Jackson is retired from touring, he believes he still has one more show in him. The show will take place next summer.
Alan Jackson Announces Summer 2026 Nashville Concert
The final show of Alan Jackson’s farewell tour was an emotional one for all involved. From the stage, he told the sold-out crowd that the show wasn’t just goodbye. Instead, he said, it was a way to say “thank you” to the fans who supported him throughout his career. “It’s been a long, sweet ride. It started 40 years ago this September,” he said during his set. “I’ve really lived the American dream for sure,” he added.
He also made a huge announcement. “We just felt like we had to end it all where it all started, and that’s in Nashville, Tennessee–Music City–where country music lives,” he said. “I gotta do the last one there. This is the last one out on the road for me,” he added.

Alan Jackson’s final show will take place sometime next summer in Nashville. Details, including the date and venue, will be revealed at a later date. However, the fact that the show will happen should give fans hope that they’ll be able to see him live before he says his final farewell.
