Who would have thought that country icon Carrie Underwood harbored such a mysterious side? The Grammy-winning star has just “broken the internet” by revealing a hobby that completely clashes with her elegant and polished public persona. She shared that this pursuit brings an “amazing” feeling and makes her “feel accomplished.” This is igniting a wave of debate and curiosity: Could this be the most “quirky” hobby of an A-list celebrity we’ve ever known?
The “American Idol” winner and judge is taking homesteading to a whole new level.
Carrie Underwood is taking homesteading to a whole new level. The American Idol winner and judge lives on 400 acres in Tennessee, and she’s making good use of the land.
From raising livestock to growing and preserving her own food and even crocheting her own clothes, Underwood is doing it all, and her fans are in awe of her many talents.
Just days ago, Underwood updated fans on her newest (and arguably cutest) family members. Now, she’s sharing her impressive canning skills as she continues to stockpile some delicious-looking homemade foods that she prepped and canned herself.
In the “Before He Cheats” singer’s latest Instagram snap, we see dozens of jars labeled and stacked up on a kitchen table.
Underwood’s lengthy caption explained, “My boys were away for the weekend so I decided to get rid of some of the stuff that was in the big freezer. Canning is the perfect way to make use of everything and save myself some time later on when I need a quick meal!”
She continued, “I put about 35 (??) ish pheasants into some soup and pot pie filling, got rid of some of last year’s black and blueberries, and made some cobbler filling and tried to do something with all the plums we’ve got growing here. Not sure if I made jam or plum butter or some sort of sauce out of it, but I’ll figure out something to do with it! I feel accomplished!!! Yay me!”
Underwood’s fans can’t stop commenting about how much they love this side of her with one writing, “This kind of content makes my heart happy ❤️ Awesome work!”
Another commented, “Growing and preparing your own food feels so good!”
Yet another chimed in, “Best post I’ve seen all day! Thank you for normalizing things like this. Simple is so good. ❤️”
