LOVE Island’s Harrison Solomon has broken his silence on ex-girlfriend Lauren Wood’s bombshell claim they were working towards reuniting before he entered the villa without telling her.

The villa lothario, who is exploring his connection with Belle Hassan, insists Lauren has said things that are “untrue” and accused her of “twisting things”.

Maya Jama played a clip of Lauren on the Not My Bagg podcast in which she said she was in constant contact with Harrison until he went quiet on her just days before his villa entrance.

Harrison said: “It’s a shame because we broke up very amicably. I feel a lot of things she said in the podcast were untrue. I feel I need to air it in private, have a conversation with her and go from there.”

He then confirmed they broke up at the end of October and said they haven’t seen each other since.

“It’s a shame she did that and tried to twist things,” he added.

Meanwhile, Belle said: “It’s not nice. She’s upset, things could have been clearer, fair enough. Break ups are difficult.

“It’s for you to sort out. Hopefully you can do it in private. Hopefully you guys sort it and everything’s nice.”

Lauren is currently in Tulum, Mexico, with fellow Islander Meg Moore.

Earlier this month she spoke out on her relationship with Harrison.

Lauren said: “When we split up that was my worst nightmare and I feel like I’m living my nightmare.

“I’ve dreaded it for so long even though I didn’t think he was going to do it it has been a thought in my mind for a long time and now I feel like oh my God, it’s reality, he’s going in there. And that is the hurtful part.”

There was much speculation during their time together that there was no spark and they were a showmance, but Lauren said that couldn’t be further from the truth.

“We had a very good relationship,” she said. “Since the moment he left [the villa] we literally were inseparable. We didn’t spend any time apart.

“We had an amazing few months together and I’m very grateful for the memories we’ve got.

“Then obviously it came to November and that’s when we ended publicly. We had a perfect relationship, it wasn’t a case of us not wanting to be together because of an area in our relationship that wasn’t working out or we wasn’t getting to see each other. No part of our relationship felt like it needed working on.

“It was more of a case of us working on ourselves to be the best partner for each other.”

The former couple were still in contact every day and spoke on the phone “all the time”, according to Lauren.

She said she might have understood if Harrison had told her he wanted to go on to forward his career, but he didn’t say a word.

In fact, she only realised he was going in when he suddenly stopped replying to her messages, which she said was out of character. And when she tried calling, it wouldn’t connect.

She continued: “It wasn’t a case of us not liking each other. We needed to do things on our own to get back together. So we were working towards a future together. It did end on the best terms possible.

“We’ve had multiple conversations. Every time it’d come up on TikTok I’d ask him. He’d be like, ‘Loz, I promise you I’m not going on there. I wouldn’t do that to you.’ We both agreed it wouldn’t be the right thing to do, it would break either of our hearts if one of us went on there.”
