A royal author has detailed a rather heated moment between Prince William and Meghan Markle.

Meghan Markle allegedly had a tense exchange with Prince William when he questioned her about a remark she made concerning the Princess of Wales.

This incident occurred shortly after Kate gave birth to their third child in April 2018. The atmosphere was fraught with tension around the time of Prince Louis’ arrival, which was just before Meghan and Harry’s nuptials in Windsor.

In Prince Harry’s explosive book Spare published in 2023, he recounts an argument between Meghan and Princess Kate that ensued after Meghan mentioned Kate might have “baby brain.”

This led to a reported retort from Kate, who said to Meghan, “We are not close enough for you to talk about my hormones.” Upset on behalf of his spouse, 43-year-old William is said to have confronted his sister-in-law. It comes amid reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal rift ‘is worse than ever’.

These details emerge from Robert Jobson’s book ‘Catherine, The Princess of Wales: The Biography,’ excerpts of which were serialized in the Mail on Sunday ahead of its official publication.

The altercation reportedly left Meghan in tears, but Kate later sent flowers as an apology, which Meghan seemed to accept graciously.

Post-honeymoon, it’s said that William and Kate met with Harry and Meghan, during which Kate sought an apology from Meghan regarding the “baby brain” comment.

William had labeled Meghan “rude” for her comments on Kate’s postpartum hormones following the birth of their second son.

The clash intensified, culminating in Meghan’s sharp retort to William, “Take your finger out of my face.”

Despite reports suggesting that Kate and Meghan were never particularly close, tensions escalated over a disagreement regarding Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress for Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
