The Duchess of Sussex traded her signature deep brunette for a softer, golden-tinted shade, and royal fans immediately accused her of copying Princess Kate.The 44-year-old’s timing was striking. Earlier this month, Kate debuted her own fresh blonde update at the Natural History Museum in London, setting social media alight and being hailed by onlookers.

Meghan’s sudden change, after recently wearing her darker waves on both her Netflix show ‘With Love Meghan’ and Emily Chang’s podcast, only fuelled the debate.

Taking to X, one fan claimed: “Copycat Meghan strikes again… she’s lightened her hair after Princess Catherine. The irony? Still NOBODY BOTHERS! GIVE IT UP! You can’t ever compete with our Future Queen.”

Another wrote: “Everyone was right… she did in fact lighten her hair straight after Catherine lightened hers.” Several others accused of being “jealous” of the Princess of Wales.

A third pushed back against the frenzy, with one insisting: “The obsession is real but it’s also very creepy.” Others claimed it was “clearly not a coincidence”.

Meanwhile, others praised her new lighter silhouette and penned: “Nice to see the duchess looking so well and happy with Harry.”
