Prince Harry sustained an injury during a nasty incident involving a mallet as he made a rare outing in Aspen, Colorado.

Fortunately, the Duke of Sussex suffered only minor wounds and received medical clearance soon afterward. Harry is continuing to embrace life in America following his choice to quit the royal family alongside his wife, Meghan Markle.

Harry, 41, has remained a source of debate, as numerous supporters have expressed disappointment with his decision to move to America.

Nevertheless, as a devoted father-of-two, Harry has kept his distance from royal controversies. Yet during his most recent public outing, he encountered an unexpected situation.

Harry made an unannounced appearance at the St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship in Aspen, Colorado. Event organizers were astonished when he unexpectedly arrived to observe the competitions on Thursday, December 18, and was quickly persuaded to participate in one of the contests.

Throughout the match, Harry climbed onto his horse and galloped across the field, attempting to secure a crucial goal to advance the team to the following round. However, sources told Page Six the situation became uncomfortable when an opponent’s mallet struck Harry’s hand

Spectators present at the match reported his hand was “clipped” by the son of legendary polo player Nacho Figueras, who had been swinging his mallet. One source indicated that play had to be temporarily halted so he could assess the injury and “shook it off,” reports the Daily Star.

The Duke of Sussex continued to compete in the tournament with his team, despite their eventual defeat and elimination. Eyewitnesses reported that the commentator referred to Harry as “Harry Wales.”

This wasn’t his first time on the field, as he had covertly agreed to participate in a match the previous day. Insiders close to the tournament’s organization revealed they were unaware of the prince’s planned participation.

“No one knew he was coming,” the source disclosed. Despite an accidental collision, there’s no bad blood between Figueras and Harry, who are good friends off the pitch.

Before the game even started, Nacho and Harry were spotted skiing at a nearby resort.

Unfortunately, Harry’s beloved wife Meghan did not accompany him on the trip, choosing instead to stay home to focus on her work and care for their two children, Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie.

However, other notable figures from the polo world attended the tournament while the Duchess of Sussex was away, including some of the sport’s A-listers.

Harry is a seasoned polo player, having been involved with the sport throughout his life in the UK. He has participated in numerous charity matches on horseback and even co-produced the Netflix docuseries Polo, which received mixed reactions from viewers.
